建筑位于三峡，建设始于三峡，建筑师希望建筑能够讲述三峡故事。源道建筑最初的设计思路，是以三峡夔门为原型，将建筑流线化布置，营峡谷之势，迎合 “峡之演义”的理念。项目入口处，映入眼帘的便是气势恢宏的白色建筑，以及流畅优美的曲线和曲面，建筑外形模仿岩石层层叠叠的肌理，如果在空中俯瞰，整个造型宛如白色峡谷，而当你走进内部大厅，室内空间也有游走在狭长谷壑、“两岸高山相对出”的既视感。流线性平面、峡谷性空间、韵律感肌理，构成了整栋建筑的扣人心扉的初印象。

如果你以为这就是一栋简单的多层建筑，那就太小看重庆这座魔幻城市。由于山地地形的影响，场地虽然极其狭小，但高差竟然能达到15m，于是整个场地从最底点到最高点形成了一层一层的台地，最后整个建筑也设计出了几层不同的城市阳台，与周围的环境进行了充分地融合，是典型的山地建筑利用地形高差玩的一个“魔术”。

大多数公共建筑，尤其是文化建筑，能够将屋顶开放给市民是对城市空间的良好延伸，同时也是对外的展示窗口。所以项目最大的“魔术”，就是屋顶花园的打造。设计采用地景的手法，用长长的坡道接通了马路街边和建筑屋顶，市民可沿坡道来到屋顶散步，屋顶开放为市民公共空间，有咖啡厅和景观视野良好的城市阳台，通过城市阳台可以观看整个公园，眺望远处壮阔的长江，和繁华的城市彼岸。

The roof is open as a public space for citizens, and there are cafes and urban balconies with a good view of the landscape. , Through the city balcony, you can view the entire park, overlooking the magnificent Yangtze River in the distance, and the other side of the prosperous city.

建筑不再冰冷和崇高
而是更有人文性和亲和力

和传统科研基地相比，三峡文物科技保护基地的设计，在某种程度上有了颠覆和改变。一个是让建筑不再冰冷，更有温度；二是改变大家对科研机构沉闷呆板的印象，为工作人员营造人性化的办公环境。

对于参观者来说，游览时间长了需要有休息的地方，在这个项目的前区公园，人性化地为预留了遮阳挡雨的灰空间。

Compared with traditional scientific research bases, the design of the Three Gorges Cultural Relics Science and Technology Protection Base has been overturned and changed to some extent. One is to make the building no longer cold and warmer; the other is to change the dull and dull impression of scientific research institutions and create a humane office environment for the staff.

For visitors, a place to rest is needed after a long tour. In the park in the front area of this project, a gray space for shade and rain is humanely reserved.

进入展厅之后，参观者所登上的缓缓的台阶，连接二层展厅空间。加上天窗呼应台阶的巧妙设计，阳光好的时候，天光会直接从天窗上撒到台阶上，有一种沐浴天光的美好体验。

三峡文物科技保护基地的项目，体现出建筑设计最大的亮点，就是三个尊重。

首先，整个建筑实体和“峡”的概念非常吻合，自始至终一直都在贯彻这样的设计概念，这是对三峡文化的呼应与尊重；其次，是对城市的尊重，很多公共建筑对市民来说是一种高高在上的感觉，只能当作一种精神崇拜，这个项目让市民觉得更有亲和力，甚至有很多市民生活都可以参与到项目里来；第三，是对整个重庆山地地形的尊重，不是简单地把建筑场所当作一个平地，拔地而起，仅仅盖几栋楼，这是一种对场所精神的亵渎和抹杀。
