O Project Architect Position 建筑主案设计师

Position: Full-time Project Architect
Location: Hangzhou Studio
Qualifications: Master’s degree or above in Architecture or a related field; candidates with overseas education or work experience are preferred

We are looking for a Project Architect with a genuine passion for design to join our China team, independently leading full-scope projects that integrate architectural and interior design, and translating design concepts into complete, buildable solutions that comply with Chinese regulations. You will take full ownership of projects from concept through to completion, exercising professional judgment and creativity across schematic design, design development, and on-site follow-through.

Our studio has a long-standing commitment to vernacular construction — weaving sustainable materials, local history, and traditional craftsmanship into every project, with careful attention to detail reflecting the depth of our design thinking. We expect you to share this passion.

What you’ll do:
• Independently lead full-scope design projects, delivering integrated design from architectural concept through to interior spaces
• Take charge of early-stage concept development, schematic design, and design development, setting the overall design vision and tone for each project
• Present and communicate design proposals to clients, accurately interpreting their needs and driving design approval
• Coordinate with contractors, conduct design briefings, follow up throughout construction, and ensure the quality of the final built outcome
• Conduct regular site visits to resolve design–construction coordination issues on the ground, ensuring the design intent is fully realized

What you’ll bring:
• Master’s degree or above in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a related field, with solid interior design capabilities
• A genuine passion for design — creative and aesthetically refined, with a strong sense of design ownership and representative built projects
• Strong interest in vernacular construction practices, with a willingness to take part in related experiments and exploration
• Familiarity with Chinese building design codes and regulations, and knowledge of the approval and permitting process, ensuring design compliance and feasibility
• Fluent Mandarin and strong English communication skills
• Solid understanding of the full process from concept to construction, including construction techniques and materials, ensuring design buildability
• An outgoing personality with strong communication and presentation skills, able to coordinate smoothly with clients and contractors to move projects forward
• Willingness to visit construction sites regularly, take ownership of the built outcome, and commit to long-term development in Hangzhou
• Proficiency in CAD, Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign, etc.)

O Architectural Intern 建筑实习生

Position: Architectural Intern
Location: Hangzhou Studio
Qualifications: 3 months (minimum 2 months)

We are looking for an architecture enthusiast to join our Hangzhou team as an intern. Here, you will have the opportunity to work on real architectural and interior projects and experience the complete process from concept design to construction. More than your software skills or academic background, what we care about is whether you genuinely love architecture, are willing to learn, communicate well, and take your work seriously.

What you’ll do:
• Assist the team with design, model making, and drawing production for architectural and interior projects
• Participate in design research, material studies, and case studies to support ongoing projects
• Help prepare project presentations, layout and graphic documents, and visual materials as needed
• Have the opportunity to visit construction sites with the team and experience how design is realized in practice

What you’ll bring:
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Architecture, Architectural Design, or Interior Design program
• A genuine passion for architecture — this is what we value most; we hope you have real enthusiasm for design and your own ideas about it
• Skilled in physical model making — strong hands-on ability and sensitivity to materials and construction

O Senior Architect 资深建筑师

Position: Full-time Architect
Location: Hangzhou Studio, (we would support part-time remote)
Qualifications: Registered Architect (Class 1); candidates with international study experience preferred

We are looking for an experienced architect to join our China team and lead projects from design to delivery, translating design concepts into code-compliant, buildable architecture in China. Working closely with our European design partners, you will independently drive project implementation, contributing to design development, construction documentation, and research into sustainable materials and building systems.

We hope our future team member is:
• Responsible for the implementation and delivery of architectural projects in China
• Translate design intent into solutions that comply with Chinese regulations and are constructible
• Coordinate and review the work of Local Design Institutes (LDIs) and other specialist consultants
• Manage project approval processes
• Report to clients and act as the studio’s representative in China
• Provide professional advice on local delivery models, scope definition, and contractual norms
• Research and implement sustainable building materials and construction systems

You will need to have:
• Experience delivering both adaptive reuse and new-build architectural projects in mainland China
• Expert knowledge of Chinese building regulations and approval procedures
• Experience collaborating with Local Design Institutes (LDIs)
• International education or overseas work experience preferred

Position: Full-time Design Assistant
Location: Hangzhou Studio
Qualifications: Master’s degree or above; international study experience preferred

We are looking for an assistant who is passionate about architecture and design, and open to working across different scales — from large architectural projects to small objects. Curious and enthusiastic about design, you enjoy exploring ideas at every scale. Our daily work involves close communication with design leads in our European studio, collaboratively refining, developing, and implementing projects.

We hope our future team member is:
• Passionate about architecture and design, and maintain an open mindset toward projects of all scales, from large buildings to small objects
• Eager to learn through projects and the team, actively absorbing international design experience
• Proactively push the design process forward, demonstrating initiative and independence
• Highly skilled in drawings, modelling, and rendering
