UNIBROWN Coffee’s new location is on the public space side of the third floor of Shenzhen Hanking Center. The floor-to-ceiling windows at the southeast corner face Shennan Avenue, and you can see the skyline of Shenzhen’s coastal city from a distance across the treetops. The west side faces the office lobby. “Towards a natural narrative space” is Mur Mur Lab’s consistent design philosophy. Although the design has been revised several times, it has been developed around this proposition.

The slightly undulating terrain unfolds simultaneously on the zenith and the ground. They either limit the boundary or imply the body. And between the sky and the earth, there is the light pouring into the room and the continuous urban landscape. We try our best to restrain our desires and hide all the deliberate traces, and finally hope that it will become a spiritual place for useless “use” and not “empty”. The spiritual totem worshipped here is the nature that is formally reproduced in the experience. It abstracts from nature, and finally returns to the experience of nature.

The smooth marble material resembles a calm lake surface, reflecting the thin curling edges, which again clearly define the boundary between “inside” and “outside” inside. Stand on the edge and think about the present.

白月光 | White Moonlight
A cup of respect to life, a cup of respect to the moonlight. In front of the French windows, we responded to the natural terrain with a full moon. Pick up a long forgotten life in architecture. The furniture is not an annoying decoration. The full moon, long tables, and bar tables are combined into daily scenery. What is connected behind the form is eternal life and spirit.

We did not particularly consider that this is a house built in the south. In my imagination, there should be no difference between Shenzhen, Shanghai or Beijing in the high-level ecology. But when the sunlight from the southern country floods the space through plants, the place is like a canvas, lightly laid out with a slightly warm background. After just one glance, I fully realized that this is a southern country house.

Starting from the “empty house”, we have another layer of confidence in the independent thinking and aesthetic paradigm that we hope to convey in the experience.Starting from a little does not mean that you can’t see the overall, on the contrary you may see more. Architecture is not just about building houses. It is about people’s emotions and what happens in life here.
