Appreciations towards BEIJING CCI ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN CO.,LTD for providing the following description:

上地NEO坐落于中国北京市上地中关村科技园内非常局限的一块场地内，设计前身为一座废弃过时的办公建筑。该建筑周边环绕着停车场，城市绿带，道路以及若干棵20多年树龄的大树。结合业主方的需求，建筑师与室内设计师需共同探讨几方面设计关键点：1，如何重塑内部空间；2，如何实现建筑内部与外部环境的交融渗透；3，如何在施工过程中避免对已有设施及树木的破坏；4，如何提高建筑的空间使用率；5，如何在新的设计中体现出过去建筑的历史追忆；6，如何在不增加太多预算的情况下使其独特。

It was designed base on a outdate, abandoned office building, which was constructed on 2004. The building contains 4 stories and 1 basement. This building, which locates on a very small site in Shangdi Zhongguancun Technology Park Beijing, is surrounding by car park, pedestrian lane, P.O.S and several 20 years old trees. With the client request, several keys should be considered in design: 1, how to reactive working environment and space function; 2, how to connect outside and interior; 3, how to protect existing facilities and trees under construction; 4, how to promote the using rate of this building; 5, how to find out the historical mark from the new design; 6, how to make it to be unique and not spending to much.

这座老建筑原设计为圆锥台型，建筑立面运用的是幕墙结构。老的外立面与各层平面的水平夹角达到73°，使得在墙体附近办公的人员头部空间严重不足且压抑。我们的设计为了改变这一缺陷并提高内部空间舒适感受，分层采用了折叠型玻璃幕墙结构，通过折叠型设计，大幅度提升了建筑空间的舒适度。每一个折叠单元阳角在空间形态中连续形成不同维度，不同角度的圆与椭圆叠落形态，隐喻星球与轨道间的共生关系。整个建筑更新设计运用了800个独立预制玻璃幕墙单元，工厂加工，现场吊装，整个装配式施工过程中保护了周边设施与大树不受破坏。同时，通体玻璃幕墙为办公人员提供了360°全方位观景效果，局部区域，办公人员可伸手够到旁边树木的枝叶。

The old building was a conical shape, the angle between its façade and floor orientation is 73 degree. People who seat close to the window was very inconvenient. Our design use continuing glazed “<” shape facade surrounding each floor, generates planet on orbit. 800 different “<” units were prefabricated in factory and assembled on site, in the meanwhile, existing facilities and trees were protect against destroy. With glazed wall façade, people who work in this building will get 360 degree view of outside environment and can reach the leaves by hand.

建筑内部，我们通过局部楼板拆除，联通了首层与地下室的空间，将空间与楼层间相互串联形成穿越式共享空间，满足当代办公的先进性同时，我们设计了共享咖啡，餐吧，娱乐影音和休息区，让办公环境更加人性化。原有建筑梁柱体系简洁处理，局部梁柱以其原貌展现，结合新增的空调新风系统，提升办公环境的舒适度的同时，依然可追溯到此楼过去的历史记忆。为了更好的追溯原有建筑形态记忆，建筑大厅及入口处幕墙单元逐片向内倾斜至原建筑立面角度，无形中设计出了月牙型雨棚。结合月牙型雨棚，我们设计了星空灯光顶，让整个建筑披上了浪漫的衣装。

Inside of this building, we demolish small area floor between first floor and basement to reactive the public sharing space with café, food court, recreational area and resting rooms. Original structure was reinforced and combined with new Aircon and fresh air system displays to the users for getting the past memory. The main entrance, was also used the building past façade shape connected with our new design, generates a very unique building form with galaxy roof lights.

立面形态和建筑细部 | Façade and Details

上地NEO项目在更新设计中将建筑的形态设计成像不同星球轨道的叠加形态，相对于每一层来说，幕墙就像为建筑层间撑起的一把巨型透明伞，伞下为透明采光落地窗。伞面幕墙采用低反射率双面镀银隔热玻璃，其内附着电控遮阳膜，为办公人员提供高自然光环境的办公舒适度。落地窗则采用3面夹胶安全透明玻璃，为办公人员提供360°全景展示面。

建筑外观采用装配式通体玻璃幕墙结构，全楼独立装配单元为800个，每一个都是独一无二的，生产加工难度非常大，每个单元在加工时通过嵌入式将外围景观灯带安装在阳角的穿孔氧化铝板下，每个单元间拼接时都形成一个箭头形态的错位，就像涡轮发动机的叶片一样围绕各层旋转。

The façade of this building was designed like several orbits surrounding the building. On each floor, the façade like a big transparent umbrella face and french window combination. Glasses were differently used on this two layer, umbrella face used three layer less reflect Low-e glass sticking with photoelectric shading film to against sunshine just like a umbrella to protect people against UA race and heat affection, the french window used high transparent glass to bring great outside view into the building.

This building façade was used prefabricated glazed wall，which manufactured in factory and assembled on site, for protecting the existing facilities and trees not destroyed under construction. There was 800 different units on this building, each of them with different angle and glazed shape combined with LED lights which hidden in the perforated aluminium plate. Each unit by unit can see a very beautiful arrow shape, like turbine blade rotating on each floor.

自然光 | Nature Light

我们喜欢在办公建筑设计中采用更多自然光线的引入，它本身节约能源消耗，同时又为使用者带来更多舒适度。每层的上端伞状幕墙结合电控遮阳膜，将直射阳光变为柔和自然光，并最大程度将自然采光引入到整个建筑之中。

We prefer use more nature light in office building, save the energy and make the user more comfortable. Umbrella face façade and photoelectric shading film makes people who working here against direct sun light to gentle light, and bring more nature light into this building.

室内 | Interior

结合室内设计的空间重塑，我们不仅仅赋予内部空间共享性，多功能性，同时，环保可再生材料被大量运用于室内装饰中。我们不喜欢过度装饰，少就是多，通过其外表，其内部核心可以展示其表里如一。

With our interior space reactivated design, we are not only make the space more sharing and more multifunctional, but also use lots of green material for protecting people’s heath. We don’t like excessive ornamentation, less is more, and you can see it’s heart in the night.

最后，上地NEO（快手大厦）是一个结合当代艺术于高水准施工工艺于一体的独特性建筑，也成为上地中关村科技园区的新地标，它将在未来城市更新项目中起到一定可借鉴意义。

In general, Shangdi NEO(quick hand office) is a very unique design with high construction technology and contemporary art, as a new landmark office building in Shangdi Zhongguancun Technology Park, Beijing. It will be a critic within the old building rebirth field in future.
