PANTHEON: A new lounge bar inhabits a lower niche of a gridded box that is John Portman’s Yintai Centre; the most prominent Beijing CBD office and retail complex.

Pantheon-由范思哲家居提供家具，这个崭新的高级酒廊从范思哲的起源中获得灵感，编织希腊神话和罗马历史，为现代的众神之家做出了新的诠释。

PANTHEON – furnished by the Versace Home collection, the new lounge bar takes inspiration from Versace’s roots weaving Greek mythology and Roman histories, giving new interpretation to a modern home of the gods.

一块银灰色的石头从外立面凸起，打破网格，微妙而具有对比性地显露出墙面凹处所覆盖地五彩缤纷地图案。这预示着即将到来地豪华的内饰。

Breaking the grid, a sliver of stone angles out from the façade, subtle yet different, the revealed recess is clad with a riot of patterned color that is an indication of the lavish interior to come.

走进内部将看到一个黑暗的前厅，前厅尽头是一条悬垂扭动的金属蛇。这条蛇呈现出细致入微的细节和解决方案，以至于会让人误以为只是一件装饰品。但实际上它兼具功能性作用。当激光雷达传感器检测到客人靠近时，步进电机会启动软机器人并改变蛇的形态，如果把一个酒杯放在蛇头下方的台盆上，它就会倒出一杯伏特加。本应是装饰功能的蛇为人们带来转变和惊喜。

Within: guests are faced with a darkened antechamber terminated by a suspended writhe of a metallic snake. Deeply detailed and resolved at the tiniest detail, the snake belies its object orientation and holds use beyond the decorative, Lidars sensor, stepper motors actuate the soft robotic form detecting as users’ approach, if a glass is placed beneath the head upon the basin, the snake dispenses a shot of vodka. A most surprising twist to what should be a decorative feature only.

昏暗的木门引入前厅背后的场景，有节奏的灯光刺穿了雾霭弥漫的氛围，而清晰的建筑和对称将视线集中在中心空间，拱形天花板上隐藏的灯光暗指罗马万神殿的等级秩序。

Darkened timber doors part to the scene beyond the antechamber, pulsing lights stab the fogged atmosphere, whilst a clear architectonic and symmetry focus the eye upon the central space, vaulted ceiling pockets of concealed lights allude to the Roman Pantheon, hierarchy order rhythm.

空间的正前方是司仪的祭坛—DJ台，两侧是豪华的躺椅和位于抬高的基座上的沙发。这是一个明确的、有意的特权领域。在这里充斥着炫耀性消费，看和被看同时发生。剩下的空间被黑暗的角落所点缀，狂欢者可以隐藏或偷偷离开。除此之外空间还有一个以大理石为背景的明亮的吧台。

Ahead lies an altar for the master of ceremonies; the DJ, flanked by sumptuous lounge chairs and sofas raised on pedestals, a clear and intended realm of the privileged. This is conspicuous consumption, guests there to see and be seen. The remaining space is punctuated by darkened corners for revelers to conceal and steal themselves away and an illuminated bar highlighted by a backdrop of red travertine.

美杜莎 | MEDUSA

美杜莎的头像标志是范思哲的象征。这是由詹尼·范思哲(Gianni Versace)在90年代早期设计的标志，以一种致命的目光锁定观众。

The Medusa’s head logo is emblematic of Versace. It’s a logo that fixes the viewer in a deadly gaze, designed by Gianni Versace in the early 90’s to represent the brand.

In Greek mythology the Medusa’s story is a violent one culminating in a savage ending of the Gorgon’s life under the sword of Perseus who employed trickery and stealth to avoid being turned to stone by Medusa’s gaze. Perhaps the most intriguing representation of Medusa is by Rubens who captures the violence of the final moments with the escaping snakes captured in lucid strokes.

We took Rubens interpretation of medusa as a point of departure – by abstracting and elevating the snake form to high art with refined details and delicate materiality – designing, developing and manufacturing a vodka spitting soft robotic animatronic sculpture for ‘Pantheon’ a new lounge bar in Beijing we designed and that’s furnished by The Versace Home Collection.

使用激光雷达传感器检测人们的运动 – 激活9个步进电机的阵列，蛇在人们接近前弯曲成各种位置并最终垂直放松，在蛇头部下方放置一个玻璃杯，然后倒上一杯伏特加。这个互动雕塑经过了数月的设计和开发。有了支持我们的客户，我们已经能够通过融合艺术和技术，将我们的研发提升到一个新的技术解决方案水平。

Using Lidar sensors detecting peoples movement – activating san array of 9 stepper motors the snake contorts into various positions before relaxing upon being approached, place a glass beneath the head and a shot of vodka is dispensed. This interactive sculpture has taken many months of design and development. With a supportive client we’ve been able to take our R&D to a new level of technical resolution by blending art and technology.
