由Mark Nixon和Viliina Koivisto组成的NEON设计事务所于近日在国家工艺与设计中心举办了名为“奇幻建筑，艺术与设计 – NEON:在工作现场”的展览，回顾了NEON在最近五年间的艺术实践。展览中包含了一个用于开发新项目的创新工作室，可供游客们随意参观。对于NEON而言，设计是一个发明和探索的过程，它与社会、经济和科技息息相关。在长期的建筑、设计和艺术探索中，NEON专注于创造惊人却不脱离实际的作品，使日常材料产生非凡的效果。本展览将开放至2018年10月7日。

This Summer, The National Centre for Craft & Design is a hub for design thinking led by the award winning design duo, NEON (Mark Nixon and Viliina Koivisto). Fantastical Architecture, Art and Design. NEON: In the Studio is a five-year retrospective exhibition of NEON’s artistic practice. The exhibition includes a public studio space for the development of new project ideas with and for the local community. Until 07 Oct 2018. Exploring the overlap between architecture, design and art, for NEON, design is a process of invention and discovery that considers relevant social, economic and technological factors within a scope of work. The duo focuses on opportunities and challenges to create surprising, but relevant design concepts, utilising everyday materials in extraordinary ways.

The five-year retrospective of NEON’S artistic practice is designed to demystify the design process behind some of their major projects including:

Pump House展馆
Pump House Pavilion

Pump House展馆是Pump House画廊委托设计的临时建筑，将画廊一贯的工业风格与Battersea公园的开放环境结合起来。

Pump House Pavilion is a recreation of the temporary structure commissioned by the Pump House Gallery, bringing together the industrial qualities of the Pump House Gallery and the open spaces of Battersea Park.

The Wind Cathedral

风之教堂是一个充满诗意与情感的结构，它在回应环境变化的同时提供了一个具有保护性的场所，并通过不断变化的内部空间揭示了自然的力量。

The Wind Cathedral responds to environmental change and is a poetic and emotional architectural structure; both protecting and sheltering the inhabitant whilst also celebrating the forces of nature through a constantly changing interior space.

颤抖小屋
Shiver House

颤抖小屋是对芬兰mökki小屋的一种全新阐释。它以动物般的动态结构呼应了自然环境产生的能量。

Shiver House radically re-invents the common Finnish Hut (mökki) as a kinetic “animal like” structure, moving and adapting to natural forces.

皮肤
Skin

“皮肤”由1800条肉色的紧身裤制成，为参观者带来沉浸式的体验。

Skin is a completely immersive experience made from 1,800 pairs of natural skin colour tights.

首尔皮鞋街
Seoul Shoe Street

该项目由英国文化委员会发起，展示了在这条历史悠久的街道上生产出来的10双鞋子。这些鞋子面临着中产阶级化的风险，揭示出本土制造业的全球性衰退。

British Council funded project Seoul Shoe Street presents the creation of 10 bespoke pairs of shoes created on the historic street at risk from gentrification highlighting the global decline in local skilled manufacture.

伍斯特展馆
The Weorgoran Pavilion

伍斯特展馆是受河流维护组织Canal &River Trust委托完成的项目，也是伍斯特郡于2018年6月进行的“环形”艺术项目的一部分。该展馆的制作使用了超过10万个装饰亮片，营造出水一般的闪耀外观。

Commissioned by the Canal &River Trust as part of “The Ring” arts programme for the river festival in Worcester (June 2018), The Weorgoran Pavilion is made with over 100,000 sequins that create a ‘water like’ appearance and shimmering spectacle.
