Cabin Fever, the international summer school and festival by Hello Wood, will once again take place in the atmospheric post-industrial landscape of Česká Kamenice, Czech Republic. Set at the site of a former textile factory surrounded by nature, this one-of-a-kind event blends hands-on learning, architectural experimentation, and community. Powered by VELUX, a committed supporter of architecture’s future, Cabin Fever is a celebration of innovation, sustainability, and the next generation of design talent.

在为期八天的活动中，来自世界各地的建筑学学生与新兴创意人将齐聚一地，通过动手实践开展搭建、交流与学习。五个国际知名建筑事务所将各自带领一个小组，在现场共同设计并建造木结构小屋或装置作品。在这种沉浸式的设计-建造（design-build）模式中，教育、实验与合作相互融合，让理论在现实中落地转化为行动。
Over eight days, architecture students and emerging creatives from across the globe will come together to build, connect, and learn by doing. Five internationally renowned studios will each lead a group of participants in the design and construction of timber cabins or installations onsite. In this immersive design-build format, education, experimentation, and collaboration merge, turning theory into action through real-world building and collaboration.

The theme of Cabin Fever 2025 is “Quality Time – Connection to Each Other.” In a fat and fragmented world, the 2025 theme encourages a rethinking of how we live and design. It’s about creating spaces that allow us to slow down, be present, and share meaningful moments. At Cabin Fever, it’s not just about what we build – but how, and with whom. The process is as important as the result.

What to expect at Cabin Fever 2025:
– 5+ architectural studios leading hands-on cabin builds with students from around the world
– The chance to submit your own design proposal for a temporary installation (e.g. Finnish sauna, communal space, lookout point) – selected designs will be built by your team onsite
– Official credit and portfolio-worthy experience through participation in real projects
– Evening programs, design talks, workshops, bonfires, and a unique international community

如何申请参与 Cabin Fever：
你可以通过三种方式加入 Cabin Fever 的体验：
– 以个人身份报名，加入某一木屋建造小组
– 以团队身份报名，主导一个木屋的设计与建造
– 以团队形式提交临时装置提案（最终将有 3 个方案被选中并在现场建造）
报名现已开放。

How to apply: There are three ways to join the Cabin Fever experience:
– As an individual, to join one of the cabin-building teams
– As a team, to lead the design and construction of a cabin
– As a team submitting a proposal for a temporary installation (3 will be selected and built) Applications are open now. Extended deadline: May 18, 2025 – 23:59 CET
