Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, nestled between the Entertainment and Fashion Districts, Figo brings a fresh, new romantic Italian dining experience to the heart of the city. Operated by leading lifestyle and entertainment company INK Entertainment in partnership with ICON Legacy Hospitality, Figo reimagines traditional, made-from-scratch Italian dishes and boasts an impressive, curated wine selection. The restaurant’s interiors are designed by internationally-acclaimed design firm Studio Munge, and features elements of authentic Italian architecture paired with extensive custom millwork and a soft, feminine accents.

In a modern Italian realm, downtown brunchers and night time socialites alike have a place to connect over cocktails, and authentic meals in a picturesque setting any time of the day. The layout is meant to bring guests closer to one another, promoting socializing with friends and family. Connectivity is the driving force behind Studio Munge’s design for Figo, whether between guests and the cuisine or the design there’s an unmistakable harmony throughout.

Applied on floor-to-ceiling windows a translucent custom-designed floral print signals guests to anticipate the soft feminine features indoors. During the day, light cascades through the glass walls and warms the soft tones and textures, and guests. Inside, a large Fresco-like custom floral ceiling application adds romance to the space and discreet shimmering pot-lights sit softly against as not to deter from its charm.

进入餐厅内部，人们的第一个视觉焦点会是明亮迷人的酒吧区域，木制吧台与意大利大理石贴面相结合，这样的搭配仿佛让整个吧台闪耀着光芒，吸引着客人。为了与Figo的正宗意大利菜肴相搭配，室内饰面采用老化的黄铜饰面，呈现出不拘一格的风格，乍看起来像是手工制作的，吧台后面摆放的闪亮的玻璃醒酒器和带斑点的镜子与周围的金属装饰形成鲜明对比。

The interiors first focal point is the bright, inviting bar that seduces guests with the glow of its custom millwork bar façade and Italian marble top. In keeping with Figo’s authentic culinary program, the interior finishes are eclectic and appear hand-made, featuring aged brass finishes. Shimmering decanters and speckled mirrors behind the bar contrast beautifully with surrounding metallic accents.

Thin curved custom glass tables with angled wooden legs, each unique in shape, trail from column to column and along the edges of the bar and dining area. Low-backed plush leather sofas in the bar area, fortifying the guests desire to stay a while. The cathedral-style wine cabinet in the bar lounge creates a rousing atmosphere as guests survey Figo’s extensive wine selection. The restroom area, tucked away behind the see through wine cabinet, features authentic cladded exteriors using reclaimed Ontario fence wood, giving off the feeling of venturing into an old wine cellar.

Figo’s centerpiece is the open-concept “cucina,” framed by an ornate hand laid, 4000 tile full width Romanesque archway – a detailed project that took many hours to complete. Without any barrier between the guest and the chefs, the open kitchen adds a personal touch to the dining experience while they enjoy cocktails, awaiting their artisan dishes. An intimate dining area furnished with olive banquettes and whitewashed dining tables enhances Figo’s modern, fresh, and feminine atmosphere.

Studio Munge’s patio design offers a bright and exuberant setting with its lush landscaping, cedar and garden green banquets and three-toned tables: glossy green base with a white stem and wood top. The fresh colour palette and perfect light exposure give the guests a feeling of dining along the coast of the Italian Riviera – paired with Figo’s authentic cuisine. Overall Figo’s dining experience is one guests will want to share with close friends and family over and over again.
