无间设计创始人、设计师吴滨先生，携“游山记”艺术装置系列《时庭》，受法国文化部·法国国家古迹中心特别邀请，作为首位在巴黎皇家宫殿展出艺术作品的亚洲设计师，于2026年9月10日-9月17日期间，亮相巴黎设计周。

Wu Bin, founder of W.DESIGN, has been invited by the Ministry of Culture of France·Centre des monuments nationaux to present The Pavilion of Time, a new installation from his Travelogue on Mountains series, at Paris Design Week 2026 (September 10–17). He is the first Asian designer ever to exhibit in the historic Domaine National du Palais-Royal.

公共空间是城市精神生活的容器，巴黎市政府长期以来支持以艺术赋能城市空间，唤醒人们对日常的感知，让城市生活获得更多精神滋养。《时庭》正是这样的实践——它坐落于始建于17世纪的巴黎皇家宫殿，紧邻卢浮宫，是巴黎历史轴线上的重要坐标。当东方的视角第一次进入这片庭院，为巴黎的日常带来一份与平日不同的时间感受，也在巴黎设计周期间，成为巴黎生活里的一处风景。

Public space is the vessel of a city’s spiritual life. The City of Paris has long supported art as a means to invigorate urban space, awaken everyday perception, and enrich the spiritual texture of city life. The Pavilion of Time is precisely such a practice. Situated in the 17th-century Domaine National du Palais-Royal, adjacent to the Louvre, it occupies a significant coordinate on Paris’s historic axis. As an Eastern perspective enters this courtyard for the first time, it brings to Parisian daily life a different experience of time—and during Paris Design Week, becomes a scene within Parisian life itself.

“时庭”
The Pavilion of Time

人们习惯说“看一下时间”，却很少说“感受时间”。如何感受时间，是《时庭》想提出的问题。因此，“时”，指借日影的偏转、步履的起落，将时间的形状呈现为身体的体验；“庭”，则是人与自然发生关系的界面，让人感受存在的流逝与当下。

People habitually say “check the time,” yet rarely “feel time.” How to feel time is the question The Pavilion of Time seeks to pose.Thus, “Time” refers to rendering the shape of time as bodily experience—through the shifting of sunlight and the rise and fall of footsteps; “Pavilion” is the interface between humanity and nature, where one senses the passage of existence and the presence of the present.

圆形的装置立于皇家宫殿花园之内，被一片规整而方正的古典建筑所环绕。正如东西方对时间所持的两种态度：西方以石材筑就永恒，以对抗时间的流逝；而东方建筑则偏向木构，在时间的侵蚀下包浆、风化、直至腐朽。

The circular installation stands within the Domaine National du Palais-Royal, surrounded by the orderly, orthogonal classical architecture. This mirrors the two attitudes toward time held by East and West: the West builds in stone to achieve eternity, resisting time’s erosion; Eastern architecture favours wood, acquiring patina, weathering, and eventually decaying under time’s embrace.

所以，临时性的空间有一种很特别的状态，它存在的时间很短，所以人与它相遇的那一刻，反而会变得更加珍贵。这也让我们可以更直接地去讨论“时间”。永久建筑更多是在时间中长期存在，而临时构筑物从出现、被使用，到最后消失，本身就形成了一个完整的过程。

A temporary space therefore possesses a peculiar state: its existence is brief, and so the moment one encounters it becomes all the more precious. This also allows us to discuss “time” more directly. Permanent architecture endures over time, whereas a temporary structure—from its appearance and use to its eventual disappearance—forms a complete process in itself.

巴黎生活里的一处风景
A Scene Within Parisian Life

《时庭》，由三面长度各异的纸墙，承托起一面镜面的圆环屋面。从巴黎的空中向下望，这三面墙的长度各自呼应着时针、分针与秒针的长短关系，这是世界通用的计时表达。而阳光透过屋面的圆洞，在墙面与地面上形成圆形光斑的轨迹，缓缓游移。这一刻，仿佛一座古老的日晷在花园中浮现。两种关于时间的表达，在同一座庭中相遇。

The Pavilion of Time comprises three paper-like walls of differing lengths, supporting a mirrored circular roof. Seen from above Paris, the lengths of these three walls correspond to the relationships between the hour, minute, and second hands—a universal expression of timekeeping. Sunlight, passing through the circular opening in the roof, casts a slowly drifting trail of round light patches across the walls and floor. In that moment, an ancient sundial seems to emerge within the garden. Two expressions of time meet within a single courtyard.

我们希望每一位走入其中的人，都能感受到自己正处在时间之中——你我就是时间。因此，我们在三面墙上分别开出洞口，让人得以穿过其间；我们也在四周放置了轻盈的座椅，让人得以停驻，与时间、与这一刻光影的移动同坐。当光斑恰好落在手背上，时间便有了可以看见的形状。

We hope that everyone who enters will feel that they are within time—that you and I are time itself. Thus, we have opened apertures in each of the three walls, allowing people to pass through; and we have placed light seating around the periphery, inviting pause—to sit with time, with the movement of light and shadow in this very moment. When a patch of light falls upon the back of a hand, time acquires a visible shape.

当《时庭》与人相遇，那一刻它便从一座装置，变成了巴黎的一部分。有人举起相机，试图留住某一刻的光；有人在圆弧下接吻，仿佛时间恰好停在了唇边；遛狗的人放慢脚步，让小狗绕着圆走了一圈；跑步的人从庭院那头穿行而来，又消失在花园深处，这是巴黎的日常。他们走进来，将《时庭》也当成了巴黎生活里一处再自然不过的风景。

When The Pavilion of Time meets people, it ceases to be an installation and becomes part of Paris. Someone raises a camera, trying to hold a moment of light; someone kisses beneath the arc, as if time had stopped at the lips; a dog walker slows down, letting the dog circle the ring; a runner passes through from the far end of the courtyard and disappears into the garden’s depths—this is Parisian daily life. They step in, treating The Pavilion of Time as a perfectly natural scene within Parisian life.

此时此刻，时间不再被钟表记录。在东方人对时间的理解之下，这些细微的相遇里变得可以触摸，可以被分享，可以被记得。《时庭》把时间还给了生活，而生活，在这里回赠了一份具体的浪漫。

At this moment, time is no longer recorded by clocks. Under the Eastern understanding of time, these subtle encounters become touchable, shareable, and memorable. The Pavilion of Time returns time to life, and life, here, returns a concrete romance.

一座“Timeless”的庭
A “Timeless” Courtyard

本次巴黎设计周的主题“Pulse in Motion”，指向想象力在流动中不断涌现的动能。在不确定的时代，设计更应该是一种对未来的回应，重新建立人与世界之间的联系——人与人的亲密，人与自然的相融，人与时间从容共处。《时庭》所做的，是将这些联系变得具体：人走进去，身体感知空间与时间的变化，时间成为可被感知的瞬间，而这些瞬间，促成了人与人之间的靠近、停留与重逢，也催生了更丰富的感官记忆。这一切，都发生在巴黎皇家宫殿花园中的这座“庭”里，让时间得以被感知，让人们重新拥抱生活本身。 作品落成的那一刻起，它便不再属于设计师，它属于每一个走进来的人。能让巴黎人在这里停下脚步、感到片刻的安宁与喜悦——这份幸福，便是《时庭》存在的意义，也是它带给巴黎的一份心意。

This year’s Paris Design Week theme, “Pulse in Motion,” points to the kinetic energy of imagination in constant flow. In uncertain times, design should be a response to the future—re-establishing connections between people and the world: intimacy between people, harmony between humanity and nature, and a composed coexistence between people and time. What The Pavilion of Time does is make these connections concrete: one enters, the body perceives the changing space and time, and time becomes a series of perceivable moments. These moments foster closeness, pause, and reunion among people, and give rise to richer sensory memory. All of this takes place within this “courtyard” in the Domaine National du Palais-Royal, allowing time to be perceived and people to embrace life itself. From the moment the work is completed, it no longer belongs to the designer—it belongs to everyone who enters. To let Parisians pause here and feel a moment of tranquility and joy—this happiness is the meaning of The Pavilion of Time, and the gift it brings to Paris.
