Norman Mooney was born in Dublin Irland in 1971. After his learning in art, he moved to New York and has been living and work there ever since. Most of the works of Norman have been talking about physical and metaphysical. Observers could recognize that his works are related to many natural elements. However, those elements are reinterpreted in different forms through his creations, which would challenge our aesthetics and cognitions. Through glass, steel, smoke and resin, and with the key concern of materiality, pattern, scale and experience, his experimentation has left us a deep impression. Such like the “Butterfly Effect” which was inspired by the study of Edward Lorenz, by the way of sculpturing, he explained to us how a single tiny thing could make a big difference.
