瓷器小花瓶 / Oato Design Office

该花瓶能够被批量化生产，是简单而优雅的工业化设计。共三个高度，三种颜色。

Scape是一系列圆润可爱的瓷器小花瓶，它的形态灵感来自小山丘，顶部的小园洞为小小的几只花留出了位置。

点缀生活，一点点绿意就够了。

The Scape vases are shaped like little hills that transform flat surfaces into a landscape, which can be used to hold flowers. We wanted to create a set of object-like vases, that aren’t conceived as empty when they don’t hold flowers.

The hexagon shaped feet make it possible to link them together evoking the user to play around with the setup and size of the ‘landscape’. This gives the vases such an outspoken and decorativeshapeof their own that the adding of flowers is merely an option.

For the production of Scape we collaborated with Dutch porcelain artisan Frans Ottink. The vases are designed so they can be placed together through the use of the hexagon foot; this is only possible when executed perfectly.

The name ‘Scape’ refers to a landscape as well as the stem or stalk of the flower.
The vasesare available as sets containing three sizes: Small (6 cm high), medium (7.5 cm) and large (9 cm).

Collaboration with Frans Ottink:
For the production of Scape we collaborated with Dutch porcelain artisan Frans Ottink. Frans is a craftsman and designer since 1989 known for his work withvarious well-known national and international designers.When we thought of this project, immediately we wanted to work with Frans. Scape has a simple, yet tricky design, which only works if executed well. Knowing the quality of Frans his work, we knew it was the best choice.

Frans Ottink about the project:
“The vases have a very interesting design with their way of linking. The height of the vases and the depth of the reservoir intrigued me; it’s technically on the edge and so a challenge to execute.
Often a lot of designs in porcelain stay concepts, while in fact they’re worthwhile being produced. In this case it would’ve been a shame if they wouldn’t be produced. I really love my job as craftsmen and I constantly decide on working with new, young designers because they’re fresh ideas could be a new challenge to me, while my experience can contribute and facilitate their ideas.”
