Maya使用银创造出了这些灵物。寥寥几笔，形体便跃然眼前，运用类似画风中的明暗对比手法，高光和阴影碰撞并存。

艺术家利用金属做出这些别具一格的珍品，品类涉及碗，花瓶，餐具，首饰，雕塑对象。这些作品最后都能够100%回收。

世间万物周而复始，艺术家试图表达这些变迁，将材料和技术融合出新的自由及羁绊。比如将银粉热加工，体现出微妙的表面处理及手工感。艺术家创建出这些轻盈空灵的实实在在固体物件。

Maya makes use of the properties of silver to create forms that have spectral characteristics. Her technique is similar to drawing in the way she uses silver to frame empty space and suggest solid form. She exploits the descriptive nature of the black line in a similar way to the ‘chiaroscuro’ style of painting, where volume is suggested by the use of shadow and highlight.

ARTISTS STATEMENT
I make unique, contemplative, precious metal objects. My new ‘Inclusion Collection’ includes bowls, vases, dishes, jewellery and sculptural objects. All the metals I use are ethically produced and 100% recycled, it’s important to me that the materials I love to work with are responsibly sourced.

I am influenced by the impermanent nature of the objects that surround us and by the cycles of change that these objects go through. In translating this influence into my work I find a new freedom and interaction with the materials and techniques I uses. Through exploring techniques such as silver dust fusing, fine hand piercing and subtle surface treatments I create ethereal, spectral objects that frame empty space and suggest solid form.
