港岛 – 德辅道西
HONG KONG DES VOEUX WEST

这次的设计项目位于充满历史文化交替以及发展迅速的港岛西区，西区一直蕴藏不少香港的独特文化，近年亦有不少充满文化气息的画廊和特色店铺进驻。项目位于一所著重艺术文化、个性追求及工匠手艺的的全新住宅项目地铺内，面积约1,500平方尺，充足的建筑楼底和面积以及两边的落地玻璃洽好为咖啡室提供良好的条件加入炒豆区和存豆区。Studio Adjective 近年亦有多个设计项目在港岛西区，包括共享工作室及餐厅，这次为同一品牌在这地段设计第二所概念店。

The project is located in the thriving Western District. With its historic and cultural significance, the district has attracted many galleries and specialty shops in recent years. Occupying a ground level space of a new residential development, the project focuses on art and culture, a unique personality and impeccable craftsmanship. The 1,500-square-foot corner space features high ceiling, ample space and floor-to-ceiling windows, providing ideal conditions for a bean roasting area and a bean storage. While Studio Adjective has recently completed several projects in the Western District, including a shared studio and several restaurants, the project marks the second concept store executed by Studio Adjective for a coffee shop brand in the area.

设计概念
CONCEPT

本地建筑及室内设计工作室Studio Adjective 为 noc coffee位于新旧文化交融的港岛西区臻傲，设计此咖啡品牌第二所精品咖啡概念店。此次设计项目占地1,500平方尺并增设炒豆及存豆区，Studio Adjective 团队决定以概念式室内设计为客人打造一个完整的咖啡体验旅程。

Located within Bohemian House in the old-meets- new Western District, the project is the second boutique café designed by Studio Adjective, a local architecture and interior design agency, for noc coffee. With an area of 1,500 sqft, the store features a bean roasting area and a bean storage. The design team wants to offer a complete coffee tasting experience through the conceptual interior design.

室内设计的整体概念着重于如何以区域划分及流动性为顾客在视觉上带来完整的咖啡体验。首先，颜色锁定选用在灰、白和自然感重的木色三种基调，整体上没有投放多余颜色，希望以简单自然的颜色来突出场地整体的空间感和区域分布。另外，设计师以大型白色金属框配玻璃门将炒豆区、餐饮和存豆区分隔，并将炒豆机放置在最接近街道的位置，整个炒豆区四周均以透明玻璃设计，通透感将咖啡的专业完美呈现，不但吸引街上途人之余，更让坐在咖啡店内的顾客对咖啡由存豆、炒豆、包装的工序以至冲调都一目了然，边尝咖啡，边欣赏炒豆过程，来一个完美的咖啡体验。

The overall design focuses on presenting a complete visual experience through zoning and flow. First, the clean and natural palette will be dominated by grey, white and wood colour in order to highlight the sense of space and zoning through the simple and rustic hues. In addition, the bean roasting, dining and bean storage areas will be separated by large white metal framed glass doors. With the roasting machine placed near the window, the bean roasting area framed by glasses will showcase the professionalism of the baristas. The layout will not only attract the passersby, but also offer customers an overview of the coffee-making process, from storage, roasting, packaging to brewing, completing the unique experience.

用餐区
SEATING

在灯光处理上，设计师保留原有大型玻璃窗，尽量让自然光渗入咖啡店内，令在吧台位置选用射灯能集中顾客欣赏咖啡师的专业冲调过程，尽量将空间和视觉处理得自然不局促，吧台与用餐区保留一定的距离，让客人拥有多一点宁静的咖啡时间。

In terms of lighting design, the original large windows will be retained to maximize the natural light. Spotlights above the bar will allow customers to enjoy the coffee-making process, and will create a natural and cozy spatial and visual environment. The bar and the dining area will be separated appropriately to offer a calm space for the customers.

座椅方面，设计师考虑到顾客每次到咖啡店都会有不同数目的朋友，所以店内设有不同形式的座位方法：有高身吧台、三人座位及三五知己相聚聊天的长台区等，客人每一次可以尝试不同椅子组合保持新鲜感。

As customers will visit alone or with friends, the design will feature various seating options, including bar stools, three-seat sofas and long tables for larger groups. The different seating options will also offer a refreshing experience to the customers every time.

长台区的椅子是设计师特别构思，木制的座椅配上深浅不一的灰色基调，营造轻盈而不会过于轻浮,简洁而不单调的用餐区，椅子可分为两边，其中一边试靠近窗边可以一边欣赏街景一边品尝咖啡，令一边则是二人椅子，中间有张圆形的小茶几，营造出自然随意气氛。户外区更是客人喜爱的位置，享受阳光带来的暖意。

The chairs of the long tables are custom-made. The wooden chairs in various shades of grey will help create a light yet pragmatic, clean yet interesting dining area. The seating will comprise two parts. Those by the windows will allow customers to enjoy the view while sipping the coffee, and the two-seat sofas with a round side table create a cozy and relaxed ambience. Popular among customers, the outdoor seating will allow them to enjoy the sunlight.

吧台与木墙设计
THE BAR & WOODEN WALL

⻑七米的咖啡吧能充份让咖啡师展示专业冲调咖啡的技术。吧台台面选用了白色人造石亦能呼应咖啡机身的色彩。背面挂墙的白色铁网是呼应歌赋街店吧台的不规则斜线条。而餐牌则选用白色金属框背靠铁板，铁板由门口厨房位置一直延伸至咖啡吧台部份，有连贯效果。

The 7-meter-long coffee bar will provide a stage for baristas to showcase their skills. The white artificial stone countertop will also match the colour of the coffee machine. The white metallic net on the wall behind will subtly echo the asymmetrical lines at the bar of the Gough Street shop for a consistent style. The menu will be framed with iron and white metal, and a metal plate extending from the kitchen entrance to the coffee bar will link up different areas together.

设计师在吧台后半部份特意用木墙做了一个间隔设计，木墙将吧台与零售区以木框连接起来，但同时把餐饮区与洗手间及杂物房分隔。

A wooden wall by the end of the bar will connect the bar and retail area with a wooden frame, and will divide the dining area and the washroom and storeroom.

炒豆区
ROASTING AREA

以大型白色金属框配玻璃门将炒豆区、餐饮和存豆区分隔,并建议将炒豆机放置在最接近街道的位置,整个炒豆区四周均以透明玻璃设计，通透感将咖啡的专业完美呈现,不但吸引街上途人之余，更让坐在咖啡店内的顾客对咖啡由存豆、炒豆、包装的工序以至冲调都一目了然,边尝咖啡，边欣赏炒豆过程，来一个完美的咖啡体验。细节处绝对不能马虎，就像大门上的「把手」，设计师特别设计一条圆木条子, 跟整间咖啡店物料相符,而且职员搬运时方便出入。

The bean roasting, dining and bean storage areas will be separated by large white metal framed glass doors. With the roasting machine placed near the window, the bean roasting area framed by glasses will showcase the professionalism of the baristas. The layout will not only attract the passersby, but also offer customers an overview of the coffee-making process, from storage, roasting, packaging to brewing, completing the unique experience. The designed wooden handle for the huge glass door is also a signature detail of the roasting area.

地线图案
FLOOR PATTERN

我们为咖啡店构思了一系列以咖啡为题的pictogram, 同时亦设计了一组以白色为主的地线图案来贯穿整所咖啡室，是为小趣味也成为室内设计小小的亮点。沿着地线可带领顾客到炒豆区、存豆区、付款区、零售区等等,地线的带动无形提升了点点仓库(warehouse) 的感觉。

We have designed some coffee-themed pictograms and white floor lines to tie up the entire space. These playful elements will become the focus of the interior design. Following the floor lines, customers will arrive at the bean roasting area, the bean storage, the cashier or the retail shop. So these lines will heighten the feeling of a warehouse.
