HMA在改造设计龙盛创智汇之前，首先从大的城市规划入手。广州是改革开放先行地，经过30年的经济的发展，广州成为非常城市化的城市。经济发展的同时也带来很多的城市问题，比如交通问题/空气污染问题/土地问题等等。广州目前处于产业老化的问题，这个问题阻碍着广州的经济的进一步发展。所以有一些进步的改革者尝试创造更新的产业出路。他们向着互联网/高科技/创意形的产业慢慢摸索出一条未来发展的道路。

Before reconstruction of CIP Innovation Campus, HMA starts with a big urban planning. Guangzhou is the pioneer of the reform and opening up. After 30 years of economic development, Guangzhou has become a very urbanized city. Along with the economic development, there are many urban problems, such as traffic problem/air pollution/land problem and so on. At present, Guangzhou is facing the problem of aging industry， which hinders the further development of Guangzhou’s economy. So there are some progressive reformers who are trying to create newer industries. They are slowly groping for a future in the Internet/high-tech and creative industries.

项目周围环境体现华南地区的丘陵地貌。建筑位于一座小山丘的山脚，大量的本地植物在四季都可以体现不同的状态。这些自然资源对于城市来说是非常可贵的。自然环境同时也可以调节工作人员紧张工作的心理压力。同时，HMA认为原来的厂房空间缺少公共空间， HMA的第一个任务就是置入公共空间，让过于庞大的建筑得到呼吸。

The surrounding environment of the project reflects the hilly landform of South China. The building is located at the foot of a small hill. A large number of local plants can reflect different states in four seasons. All these natural resources are very rare in the cities. At the same time, the natural environment can adjust the psychological pressure of the staff caused by the tense work. Meanwhile, HMA thinks that the original workshop is lack of public space, so the first task of HMA is to put in more public space, in order to make the oversized building breathe.

呼应当地的自然和传统是建筑师的责任，HMA认为现代高层办公建筑已经让这块土地失去了原来的空间记忆，同时也无法感知到大自然。所以HMA设计若干个美丽的庭院，这些庭院不只是公共空间，也是南方建筑传统的空间记忆。风、雨、阳光和小鸟的声音，与庭院相互融合，人们置身其中，更加容易感受自然的存在感。

It’s the responsibility of architects to echo the local nature and tradition. HMA believes that modern high-rise office buildings have led to the loss of the land’s original space memory, as well as made the nature can not be perceived. So HMA designed several beautiful courtyards, which are not only public spaces, but also the traditional space memory of southern architecture. Wind, rain, sunshine and the sound of birds are integrated with the courtyard. People are more likely to feel the existence of nature when they are in the building.
