如今，建造一座住宅已不再只是满足设计任务书的要求，或达到某种能源性能水平。更重要的是，找到一种栖居于某个场所的方式。

Building a house today is no longer simply about fulfilling a brief or achieving a certain level of energy performance. Above all, it is about finding a way of inhabiting a place.

Avenue住宅坐落于法国瓦兹地区一块狭长且林木茂密的场地上，其形态由场地景观的特质塑造而成。住宅由三个略微错开的体量组成，各个生活空间均朝向周围景观展开，形成多重朝向，并使视线穿过树林向远处延伸。

Set on a long, narrow and densely wooded site in the Oise region in France, Avenue House is shaped by the qualities of its landscape. Composed of three slightly offset volumes, the house opens each living space towards the surrounding scenery, creating multiple orientations and extending views through the trees.

生活空间沿东西方向展开，同时获得来自南侧的光线。每个体量分别容纳家庭生活中的一个特定场景。它们之间相对独立的关系，在不造成彼此隔离的前提下组织了住宅的不同使用功能，使每位居住者都能够以不同的方式体验这座住宅。

The living spaces stretch from east to west while benefiting from southern light. Each volume accommodates a distinct moment of family life. Their relative autonomy organises the different uses of the house without isolating them, allowing each inhabitant to experience the home in a different way.

这种对场所的敏感也体现在材料的选择上。木材与土共同赋予住宅实体上的存在感与空间氛围。稻草虽然在建造完成后不再可见，却对建筑围护结构的热工性能作出了重要贡献。这些天然材料共同塑造出一种建筑，其品质既体现在感官体验上，也体现在建造层面。

This sensitivity to place is reflected in the choice of materials. Timber and earth give the house both its physical presence and its atmosphere. Straw, although invisible once construction is complete, contributes significantly to the thermal performance of the building envelope. Together, these natural materials create an architecture whose qualities are as much sensory as they are constructive.

从最初的设计草图开始，项目便由设计团队、业主和工程团队围绕一个共同目标展开紧密合作：首先通过建筑自身创造舒适的环境。建筑朝向、穿堂通风、遮阳、围护结构的品质以及材料的热惰性，使这座住宅无须空调，也无须带热回收功能的机械通风系统，便能够在夏季和冬季提供出色的舒适性。

From the earliest design sketches, the project was developed in close collaboration with the clients and the engineering team around a shared ambition: ensuring that comfort would first and foremost be generated by the architecture itself. Orientation, cross ventilation, solar protection, the quality of the building envelope and the thermal mass of the materials made it possible to design a house that requires neither air conditioning nor mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, while providing outstanding comfort throughout both summer and winter.

住宅的建造需要移除场地中部分原有林木。这些木材并未被丢弃，而是被保留下来，重新用作生物质锅炉的燃料；与此同时，新种植的植物如今支持着花园的持续生长。雨水被收集并重新利用，用于景观灌溉和卫生设施供水。

The construction of the house required the removal of part of the existing woodland. Rather than being discarded, the timber was retained and repurposed as fuel for a biomass boiler, while new planting now supports the continued growth of the garden. Rainwater is collected and reused for irrigating the landscape and supplying the sanitary facilities.

Avenue住宅并不试图展示一种典范性的建筑，而是希望在场所、生活方式与现有资源之间建立一种平衡关系。在这座建筑中，材料性、光线与气候自然而然地共同促进空间品质，并增进居住者的福祉。

Rather than seeking to demonstrate exemplary architecture, Avenue House aims to establish a balanced relationship between a place, a way of living and the resources available. It is an architecture in which materiality, light and climate naturally contribute to the quality of the spaces and the well-being of those who inhabit them.
