飞驒古川站东区中心开发项目（暂定名）将在当地建立起一个交流中心，旨在丰富周边居民的休闲与文化生活。这个拟建中的区域性社区中心位于岐阜县飞驒市古川站东侧，占地21,300平方米。该中心集大学研究基地、学生宿舍、全天候运动场和商业区于一体，丰富的用途和多样的人群将共同融合成一个创新社区。

Hida Furukawa Station Eastern Development (tentative designation) is a local collaborative base designed to enrich the life, leisure and culture of the surrounding residents. A regional community center is proposed for this 21,300㎡ site at the eastern side of Hida Furukawa Station, Hida City, in Gifu Prefecture. The Center’s functions will include a university research base, student accommodation, an all-weather playing field, and commercial outlets. The wide diversity of its uses and users will be interconnected, so as to merge into a novel community.

The unique architectural space will give visitors a better awareness of the majestic nature of Hida. The project also aims to stimulate tourist numbers and improve circulation through the city. Its clustered functions will come together to invigorate and enhance Hida City, and secure its brighter future.

广阔的景观象征着飞騨市的过去和未来，主要广场选取日语中的Utsuwa（器皿）为设计意向。项目位于车站附近，面向整个城市开放，Utsuwa广场旨在拥抱多元、消除差异，其圆形结构欢迎人们从任意方向进入，不仅为旅客提供了枢纽，也创造出一个休闲聚会的场所。

The development is a vast landscape symbolizing Hida’s past and future, its main plaza taking the shape of a bowl, or vessel, in Japanese called utsuwa. This is positioned adjacent to the station, but opening towards the city. The Utsuwa plaza will embrace plurality and harmonize difference. Its oval structure can be entered from any direction, and it will provide a hub for passers-by and become a site of casual gathering.

Utsuwa以飞驒的传统城镇景观为灵感，在纵横交错的小径上形成坡面屋顶，创造出有趣的步行体验。视野中的天空吸引着人们前往，随着脚下的路径攀升至屋顶。

The Utsuwa is a shed-like roof over criss-crossing paths, inspired by Hida’s traditional townscapes. It will be destination that it is fun to walk through. The paths continue to the rooftop where people will go, drawn by their vision of the sky.

一系列“快闪”活动将激发出碗形广场的活力。传统与未来、多样与统一、个人与群体、自然与人工、开放与庇护在此融合成一个整体。Utsuwa既是一个私密的房间，也像一个巨大的山丘，随着季节的变化勾勒出天空，随着起伏的地形一直延伸至远处的飞驒山脉。

The vibrancy of the bowl-shaped plaza will be generated by mutually cooperative pop-up functions and activities. Tradition and future, diversity and convergence, individual and group, nature and artifice, exposure and protection, will all come together. The Utsuwa is an intimate room, but also a vast mound framing the sky in its changing seasons, with a terrain continuing to the Hida mountains.

项目为多样活动提供了舞台，理念的乐器在此交织成乐章。在未来，飞驒古川站东区中心与正在规划中的飞驒高山大学（暂定名）将一同成为城市中极具魅力的活力焦点。

It will be a stage where activities blend, like instruments in an orchestra of ideas. The intention is to include not-yet realized Hida Takayama University (tentative name), making the scheme a multivalent focus enhancing Hida’s attractiveness and excitement.
