STUDIO

Multidisciplinary studio formed by professionals from a wide range of creative backgrounds which works as an experimental laboratory ,through which we seek to develop different ideas with multiple applications. The place where cooperation is the backbone of our philosophy.

SARA COLEMAN (1980)

Sara Coleman, multidisciplinary artist and designer with hybrid education and training, started her studies in Plastic Arts (Superior Technician in Plastic Arts and Fashion Design) and continued with another degrees: Pattern Technology Cutting, Costume Design for Cinema, Theatre and TV, Master in Fashion Management (Felicidad Duce Design and Fashion School,, Spain) and Experimental Fashion Drawing in Central St. Martins (London).

Her professional career started working as a Pattern Designer in Roberto Verino and lately as a free lance Fashion and Pattern Designer for several companies, combining this work as a teacher for Felicidad Duce Design and Fashion School, during three years.

Her artistic experience branched out into Textile Research and Experimental Techniques: working closely with Japanese artist Kei Ito, Elisabeth Salgado and Teresa Rosa Aguayo (National Price ARTFAD 07 in Spain) and collaborating with another artists in textile sculpture such as Jorge Varela.

In 2007 she founded her own fashion label: SARA COLEMAN_Organic Design. From then until now she has been presenting her fashion collections on the catwalk Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid and international trade fairs such as CIFF Copenhaguen, Pure London and CPM_Moscow.

In 2013 Sara Coleman was nominated to represent Europe in the prestigious competition ‘International Prize Woolmark 2013-2014 and she was Finalist in the International MANGO Fashion Awards. In 2011 she received the First Prize for Business Initiative.

At present she is developing her artistic work focus on textile materials, specializing in felt and knitted technics for installation at the same time she is working as a teacher and Final Project Manager in ESDEMGA (University of Vigo).
