前言
Forewords

“日常性”（Everydayness）作为一个社会学概念，是指一种平均的、习惯性的状态，是生命和生活呈现的主要方式，也是塑造生命和生活的主要手段。日常生活实践是人们对城市、空间等要素体验的主要方式，设计师作为城市空间的建构者，也是不同群体和不同价值的连接者，如何通过对日常性的认知、批判和重构，通过对不同社会群体的关注和沟通，满足他们对城市空间的日常性诉求。从美学角度来说，日常性意味着琐碎、嘈杂、无序，这是常态，我们必须接纳对“无序”的包容和关注。但作为设计师，我们不能无视这种无序，如何通过秩序的重构、行为的引导，如何通过小确幸和小惊喜去突破这种日常性，这是我们的工作目标，也是我们的工作方式。另一方面，也应该避免极致的有序和盲目的创新，这些并非常态。我们既不能拘泥于旧有的“坏习惯”，也不能一厢情愿的创造“新秩序”，更多的应该是从求新求变的设计惯性中脱离出来，转向对人们日常生活的关注和关怀。让环境适应人们日常性的行为和心理需求，形成自生自发的微秩序，进而养成符合生活美学的“好习惯”。

“Everydayness,” a sociological concept, denotes a state of averageness and habituality. It represents the primary form in which life and living are expressed, and it is also the primary means by which they are shaped. Daily life practices constitute the primary means through which people experience cities, spaces, and other elements. As architects of urban spaces, designers also serve as bridges between different groups and values. By acknowledging, critically analyzing, and reconstructing everydayness, as well as by paying attention to and communicating with various social groups, designers can satisfy their demands for the everyday essence of urban spaces. From an aesthetic standpoint, everydayness often implies triviality, noise, and disorder—this is the norm, and we must embrace and pay attention to this “disorder.” However, as designers, we cannot simply overlook this disorder. Our work goals and methods lie in how to transcend this everydayness through the reconstruction of order, the guidance of behavior, and the creation of small joys and surprises. On the other hand, we should also steer clear of extreme orderliness and blind innovation, as these are not the norms. We should neither be shackled by old “bad habits” nor naively create “new orders.” Instead, we should break free from the inertia of seeking novelty and change in design, and turn our attention and care towards people’s daily lives. By adapting the environment to people’s everyday behaviors and psychological needs, we can foster spontaneous micro-orders, thereby cultivating “good habits” that conform to the aesthetics of living.

“Everydayness” urban spaces form a substantial portion of our living environments. Given the intense activity surrounding urban renewal today, the associated theoretical research and practical explorations offer valuable insights and lessons for similar projects.

背景与挑战
Background and Challenge

2021年，宁波启动的第四批“精特亮”创建项目中，三五路幸福街区作为镇海区特色街区之一，在福业街特色街区创建的基础上纵向延伸，打造一条文明示范型、历史底蕴型、餐饮推动型的“三型”特色街道，带动城市从“颜值”到“功能”全面跃升，实现全域美丽、全民共富。

In 2021, Ningbo launched the fourth batch of “Elegant, Special and Bright” creation projects, among which the Sanwu Road Happiness Block, as one of the characteristic blocks in Zhenhai District, was extended vertically on the basis of the creation of the Fuye Street Characteristic Block, to build a “three-type” characteristic street featuring civilization demonstration, historical heritage, and catering promotion, driving the city to leap from “beauty” to “function” comprehensively, and fostering a comprehensive uplift that enriches the entire region and fosters shared prosperity among its citizens.

项目位于镇海骆驼街道三五路，南起镇海大道，北至南一路，包括沿路的市政人行道、商铺界面、学校外围及社区口袋公园的改造更新，总长1.25公里，总面积约6公顷，总投资0.75亿元，于2023年10月竣工。然而，街道秩序不明晰，非机动线混乱；街道家具设施陈旧，车位侵占人行空间；日常地面停车难；街面绿植遮挡店商界面等问题，使得三五路整体形象亟待改造提升。

The project is located at Sanwu Road, Luotuo Block, Zhenhai District. It starts from Zhenhai Avenue in the south and ends at Nanyi Road in the north, including the renovation and upgrading of municipal sidewalks, shop fronts, school perimeters, and community pocket park along the 1.25-kilometer stretch, covering a total area of approximately 6 hectares. With a total investment of 75 million, the project was officially completed in October 2023. However, Sanwu Road faced several pressing issues that urgently require renovation and enhancement. These include a lack of clarity in street organization, leading to chaotic non-motorized traffic; outdated street furniture and facilities; car parking that encroaches on pedestrian spaces, making it challenging to find daily parking; and overgrown greenery that obscures storefronts, detracting from the overall streetscape.

三五路定位 —— “幸福大邻里”
Positioning of “Happy Neighborhood” in Sanwu Road

1.25公里的三五路改造段包括交通秩序、社区底商、街头公园以及骆驼中心学校，它不仅是一条城市道路，同时也承载了市民日常生活的方方面面，是一条充满烟火气的城市邻里生活轴。

The 1.25-kilometer reconstruction section of Sanwu Road encompasses traffic order, community retail stores, community park, and Luotuo Central School. More than just a thoroughfare, it embodies the tapestry of daily life for residents, serving as a bustling urban neighborhood axis rich with the flavors of community living.

借着骆驼街道福业街街景改造工程的成功经验，设计团队以“幸福大邻里”为设计愿景，围绕街道秩序、环境美观、乐活趣味三个主题，同时呼应“三五”路名，形成若干“团圆和美大邻里”为主题的趣味互动节点，打造温馨和谐的“精特亮”文明示范街区。

Leveraging the successful experience of the streetscape renovation project on Fuye Street in Luotuo district, the design team has adopted the vision of “Happy Neighborhood” and centered their efforts around three key themes: street order, environmental aesthetics, and joyful experiences. Echoing the name “Sanwu”, we have crafted a series of engaging interactive nodes themed “Reunion, Harmony, and Happy Neighborhood,” ultimately transforming the area into a warm, harmonious, and exemplary “refined, special, and vibrant” civilized block.

重构街区秩序 —— 步行舒适的街区
Reconstruct Well-Ordered Street –Comfortable Pedestrian Block

首先，梳理道路交通秩序、明确权属范围、车辆有序停放。用地面划线的方式，保证7m双车道净宽，划定2m非机动车行驶范围，视觉上引导区分机动车与非机动车行车空间。

Firstly, streamline the road traffic order, clarify the scope of ownership, and ensure orderly parking of vehicles. Use ground markings to maintain a 7-meter clear width for the two-lane roadway; designate a 2-meter area for non-motorized vehicle travel; and visually distinguish the driving spaces for motorized and non-motorized vehicles.

在尽可能保留现有车位的前提下，移除影响人行的停车位。设置2.4m设施带，划分非机动车停车位，预留广告牌、街道座椅等统一的街道家具空间，最大化保障人行空间。每间隔5-6个地面机动车停车位，设置2.5m非机动车及人行穿行空间，保障非机及司机能快速进入沿街店铺。

While aiming to retain as many existing parking spaces as feasible, remove those that obstruct pedestrian movement. Install a 2.4m–wide utility strip to designate parking spaces for non-motorized vehicles, and reserve uniform space for street furniture such as billboards and street benches, thereby maximizing pedestrian space. At intervals of 5-6 motor vehicle parking spaces, create a 2.5m-wide crossing space for non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring quick and easy access to shops lining the street for both cyclists and pedestrians.

首次将智慧充电桩植入道侧泊车系统，有效缓解了新能源汽车的迅猛发展和老小区安装充电桩困难之间的矛盾。同时，自研了街景智慧管理系统，集环境监测、能源管理、智能控制、数据分析于一体，为复杂的城市公共空间带来全新数字化管理方案。这一新增的智慧技术管理举措，进一步提升了整个街区空间的智能化与便利性，让街区使用者在享受便捷充电服务的同时，也能感受到数字化升级带来的全新、舒适的街区体验感。

For the first time, smart charging stations have been integrated into roadside parking systems, effectively mitigating the conflict arising from the rapid proliferation of new energy vehicles and the challenges of installing charging stations in older residential areas. Furthermore, we developed have an in-house streetscape smart management system, which integrates environmental monitoring, energy management, intelligent control, and data analysis, providing a brand-new digital management solution for complex urban public spaces. This innovative incorporation level of intelligence and convenience within the entire block, enabling users to not only enjoy seamless charging services but also immerse themselves in a brand-new, comfortable, and digitally enhanced block experience.

丰富绿化空间 —— 疏朗美观的街区

修剪过密枝桠、提升枝下高度，从而打开街道视线；同时设置功能设施带及出入口空间。

Trim overgrown branches to raise the canopy height, thereby enhancing street visibility; Concurrently, install functional facility strips and designate entry/exit spaces.

分段特色绿化空间，体现温情邻里的街道氛围。以东西向道路为划分单元，在设施带中设置缤纷花境、苍翠绿毯、林荫绿带三种特色种植空间，保证人行视觉美感的同时，市政绿化低维护。

The greening spaces are segmented, featuring different styles, to embody a warm and neighborly street ambiance. With east-west oriented road serving as dividing units, the facility zone incorporates three unique planting styles: vibrant flower beds, lush green carpets, and shady greenbelts. These elements not only enhance the visual appeal for pedestrians but also allow for low-maintenance, sustainable municipal greening.

三江购物入口广场设计了非机动车的停车廊架让停车问题得到很大的改善，改造后的入口广场空间停车更加有序，商业界面打开，让人们更快速便捷进入商场；同时，绿化和铺装的重新设计，让广场形象得到整体提升。

The entrance plaza of Sanjiang Shopping Mall has installed a covered parking structure for non-motorized vehicles, significantly alleviating the parking issue. The renovated entrance plaza features more organized parking, with the commercial facade now more accessible, making it easier and faster for people to access the shopping mall. Additionally, the redesign of the greening and pavement has enhanced the overall image of the plaza.

橙色IP点亮活力 —— 乐趣温馨的街区
Orange IP Stimulate Vitality – Enjoyable & Cozy Block

在街区主色调上，选取代表温暖活力的橙色，运用在坐凳、广告牌、互动装置等街道设施及花草植物，营造三五路幸福大邻里的活力氛围。

The primary color palette for the street block features a warm and vibrant orange, chosen and applied to street facilities such as benches, billboards, interactive installations, as well as planting design, fostering a lively and cheerful atmosphere throughout the Sanwu Road neighborhood.

免维护的户外家具设计，通过尽可能减少上表面接触面积，做到户外家具不积水、不积灰、不积树叶，极大减少了后期管护成本，同时也提高实用效率。

The maintenance-free design of outdoor furniture ensures no accumulation of water, dust, or leaves by minimizing the exposed surface area, significantly reducing ongoing maintenance costs while enhancing practical efficiency.

改造前的银杏仁心广场无人使用，设计团队新增可使用的驿站让广场空间重新被利用起来。

Before the renovation, the Ginkgo Renxin Square was deserted, with no one using it. The design team introduced a functional station, revitalizing the square space and bringing it back into use.

在不影响过街通行的前提下，合理利用原本大面积的硬质铺装，增加街角广场的地面互动装置，延长潜在客群停留时间。

Without affecting crossing traffic, the large-area hard pavement is reasonably utilized to incorporate ground interactive devices into the street corner square, thereby extending the stay time of potential customers.

传承河港文化—— 文化记忆的街区
Carry Harbour Culture of City – Cultural Memory Block

在街区文化的表现，团队以河港文化为出发点，提取“涟漪”图案打造特色化户外家具体系。沿街一路走来，随处可见的文化细节，包括地面文字铺装、灯光投影、景观灯等，从细节入手实现对宁波河港历史的传承。

In terms of presenting the block’s cultural identity, MYP team takes inspiration from the river port culture, extracting the ‘ripple’ pattern to create a distinctive outdoor furniture system. As one strolls down the street, cultural nuances can be found everywhere, including the ground letter paving, light projection, and landscape lights, all meticulously designed to embody and pay homage to the history of Ningbo’s river port through these intricate details.

激活邻里共识 —— 社交活跃的街区
Activate Neighborhood Consensus – Socially Active Block

以现状已有的骆兴西路段街旁公园为空间载体，组织更立体、多元、包容的功能空间从空间形象到创造新的使用空间实现全方位升级，满足不同年龄人群自不同时段的使用需求，衍生出新的社交活动，表达“幸福大邻里”的团圆美好，是邻里社交的主要场所。

Using the existing community park along Luoxing West Road as the foundation, we aim to organize a more three-dimensional, diverse, and inclusive functional space, and achieve a comprehensive upgrade from spatial image to creating new usable spaces, thereby meeting the needs of people of different ages across different time periods, fostering new social activities, and embodying the reunion and beauty of the ‘Happy Neighborhood’, making it the primary venue for neighborhood socializing.

同时，以满足老年人的健身需求，构建面向老年人及弱势群体的无障碍“关怀社区”公园，团队设计增加防滑橡胶跑道减少老年人摔倒风险；在风景优美、通风良好的区域，设置足够的座椅供老年人休息；配置适合老年人的健身器材，如散步道、太极广场等。

Furthermore, to address the fitness requirements of seniors and establish an accessible ‘caring community’ park for them and vulnerable groups, MYP team has incorporated design features such as anti-slip rubber running tracks specifically designed to mitigate the risk of falls among the elderly; ample seating has been positioned in scenic and well-ventilated areas; and walking trails designed for easy navigation by seniors, as well as fitness equipment like tai chi plazas, have been installed.

种植选择适合当地气候和土壤条件的植物，避免使用有毒、有刺或易过敏的植物。同时，合理配置植物种类，形成丰富的季相变化和色彩搭配。

Select plants that are well-suited to the local climate and soil conditions, while avoiding those that are toxic, prickly, or prone to causing allergies. Additionally, strategically arrange the plant species to create a diverse array of seasonal changes and vibrant color schemes.

升级公共服务 —— 儿童友好的街区
Public Services Promotion – Children-Friendly Block

骆驼中心学校段界面更新从南二西路至南一路段，道路东侧为住宅小区及生活商贩，西侧为骆驼中心学校，上下学高峰人流密集，道路整体铺设老旧且空间拥挤，改造方式较其他道路标准段稍有不同。团队在研究中心学校上下学方式后，提出设置潮汐车位及南二西路临时上下客区域的设想，既缓解高峰期短时停车周转需求，也保障了道路日常通行顺畅。

The Luotuo Central School section interface has been updated from the South Second West Road to the South First Road section. The eastern side of the road is lined with residential areas and street vendors, while the western side is occupied by Luotuo Central School. During peak school hours, the flow of people is heavy, the road is paved in an outdated manner, and the space is cramped. The reconstruction approach differs slightly from that of other standard road sections. After studying the commuting patterns of students and staff at Luotuo Central School, MYP team proposed the idea of implementing tidal parking spaces and designated temporary pick-up and drop-off zones along the South Second West Road. This will not only alleviate the demand for short-term parking during peak hours but also ensure smooth daily traffic flow on the road.

骆驼中心学校段为打造儿童友好道路空间，沿着学校现有围墙范围，打造波浪造型的风雨连廊，利用格栅视觉错位呈现出趣味变化；改造原有围墙，体现“学智”校园景观。

Luotuo Central School’s area features a child-friendly environment, with a weather-resistant corridor constructed along the school’s perimeter wall in a wave-shaped design. This corridor utilizes visual variations created by the gratings to present intriguing effects. Additionally, the original perimeter wall has been renovated to reflect the academic and intellectual atmosphere of the campus, embodying the concept of ‘academic wisdom’ in the school’s landscape.

Summary: The Public Life of The Block is Revitalized by Landscape Design

三五路幸福街区改造工程经过对原有道路空间的街区秩序重建、街区环境提升、街区文化提炼，既能提高交通通行效率、改善行人通行体验、增加公共活动空间从而激活店铺活力，也能激发街区使用人群的邻里共识，让街道生活烟火气更添一份温暖。

Not only does the reconstruction project of the Sanwu Road Happiness Block involve reordering the original road space, enhancing the block environment, and refining block culture, but it also improves traffic efficiency, enhances pedestrian experience, increases public activity spaces, thereby breathing new life into shops, and stimulating neighborhood consensus among block users, adding a touch of warmth to the vibrant street life.
