Schneider Collection

Based on Odace and Mureva range
Lamps, stools, room divider, displays.

“ Schneider Electric gave me the opportunity to imagine a creation based on their catalogue in order to give more visibility to the collections inside the showroom Mat’Electrique of Lyon. I focused on Odace switches and Mureva plastic tubes and switches.

This request was a challenge but also great satisfaction. I was able to express myself and extract the products out of their normal function. Having an interest for interior furniture, it seemed natural to design a collection of home based objects. I have accumulated, cut, associated materials, researched how to approach this unusual creative process around Schneider Electric products. The result is functional in two ways. The collection will, firstly, be used by visitors in the showroom, The Mat’Electrique, Lyon. Then, this unique collection gives to the company an opportunity to show the brand products differently. Each switch on lampshades are commutable to expose the diversity of materials and textures of Odace’s range. Also, the top of the stools shows useful inner grooves of MUREVA tubes. This collaboration opens for me a new perspective on the role of a designer and his productions. ”
