又是一年春暖花开，候鸟们开始了从南向北的迁徙之旅。去到植被茂盛的湿地，登上形态各异的景台，一睹水鸟的优雅、猛禽的矫健、雀类的轻盈，不失为悠然消磨春日时光的好选择。
全球10000多种鸟类中，约1800种有长途迁徙的习性，在特定季节从一个栖居地跋山涉水去往另一个栖居地，以寻找更加适宜的生存环境，一些鸥类单次的迁徙距离甚至超过14000公里。每到迁徙季，大量鸟类从天空中飞过，蔚为壮观。
早在三千多前年，古希腊就有观察到鸟类迁徙的记录。这一古老的生物行为或许已经持续了比人们想象长得多的时间。漫长的岁月里，受地形、气流等因素影响，候鸟们形成了几条特定的迁徙路线。然而，随着人类经济的发展，许多鸟类栖息地遭到污染和破坏，一些候鸟无法找到迁徙的终点，只能消逝在无止尽的飞行中。近年来，环境保护与可持续成为了许多国家越来越关注的话题，大量保护区和湿地公园被建立，甚至一些城市也在尝试恢复自然，寻求一条与这些飞行的精灵共生的道路。

目前全球共有八条候鸟迁徙路线，其中三条经过中国境内，每年有20~25%的迁徙候鸟会由此通过。这三条迁徙路线分别是东非——西亚迁徙线，中亚——印度迁徙线，东亚——澳大利亚迁徙线，它们由西到东穿过中国领土，与大部分地区产生关联。许多滨水区域建起大面积的湿地公园，城市棕地被恢复成为生态绿洲，为更多鸟类、包括迁徙的候鸟提供栖身之地，也成为了城市中的人们了解与亲近这些自然伙伴的绝佳场所。

中国鸟类迁徙路线上的湿地公园及观鸟建筑
东部迁徙路线主要由在俄罗斯、日本、朝鲜半岛和我国东北与华北东部繁殖的湿地水鸟使用，其中东北地区有国内最大的淡水沼泽湿地区，沿海则有大量滨海滩涂湿地，吸引了丹顶鹤、鹭类、雁鸭类、鸻鹬类等多种鸟类停歇越冬。
