灵感来自墨西哥民间手工制作的现代地毯。设计参考了传统的动物雕塑，再将雕塑表皮如同铺开的动物皮那样展开，利用计算机加入现代的元素和精准的控制。这些“毛皮”地毯便成为了一个俏皮的类比。

HUICHOL RUG is a contemporary piece, inspired by mexican folk art and hand-produced in Mexico.

With a clear reference to traditional huichol’s sculptures, the design reflects a dichotomy Mexico is experiencing nowadays, both affirming its cultural identity and being part of a globalized world.

It’s reference to animal skin rugs evokes history using a contemporary language, based on the pixel as an entity of design and mathematical precision of computer based manufacturing. Therefore the skin is no longer considered as a trophy but rather a playful metaphor.

外尺寸在200 x 250 cm范围内。100%可降解的羊毛毛毡被2.5公里长的线经过80个小时时间精心缝制。十分精美。

HUICHOL RUG is 200 x 250 cm, produced with 100% wool felt, certified Oeko Tex Standard 100, biodegradable, retardant to fire and naturally waterproof. The rug has approximately 80 hours of seam work and 2.5 km of thread, each piece being uniquely designed according to the client’s color preferences.

HUICHOL RUG has been showcased at la Villa Noailles, (FR), the Franz Mayer Museum (MX) and is part of an ongoing exhibition at San ildefonso Museum (MX) until january 5th 2014.
