Dongguan is a major city in China’s Guangdong Province, located in the heart of the Pearl River Delta, close to Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and is one of China’s major manufacturing centres. In recent years, Dongguan’s urban development has undergone rapid transformation and upgrading, from a traditional industrial city with a focus on manufacturing, to a new type of city with a focus on science and technology, innovation, service industries and modern urban construction.
