Appreciation towards nendo for providing the following description:

日本设计公司Nendo为奥地利维也纳著名家具品牌 Gebrüder Thonet Vienna 设计了一系列曲木家具，系列包含凳子，高脚凳，矮桌，餐桌。设计保留了该品牌一贯采用曲木的特征，同时又力求家具只有一个局部被弯曲，而不是全部被弯曲。这样家具虽然一眼看上去不是曲木家具，但是仔细看却能体会到曲木在其中的精心使用，同时也恰因为直线与曲线的强烈对比，反而凸显出曲木的吸引力，实在是魅力更甚！

A collection including a stool, a high stool, low tables, and a dining table, designed for the Austrian furniture brand Gebrüder Thonet Vienna well-known for its bentwood products.

While the brand’s trademark bentwood feature remains, the fact that only a single location is bent rather than the overall structure is the theme of this collection. Because of this, the pieces do not give the immediate impression of bentwood furniture, but upon closer inspection one notices that the technique is indeed used. The utmost care was taken to ensure that the materials, part sizes, and proportions all remain true to traditional THONET design.

The combination of straight lines with a single bent section creates a strong sense of contrast, which in turn further highlights the attraction of the bentwood design.
