为什么出国？
Why going abroad?
起初是因为觉得建筑学多走多看远比书本和课堂事半功倍，另外本科学校也有合作项目，于是就在欧洲逛了三年。后来来美国是觉得意大利不太适合建筑学就业。
I felt traveling and looking at architecture in real life is much more efficient than learning from books and pictures. Besides, my undergraduate program in Harbin Institute of Technology has the opportunity to study in Polito for 3 years and getting the degree there. I chose to come to the US because I feel the environment in Italy is not so good for creative architectural practitioners.
在国外遇到了什么让你印象最深刻的事情？
What impressed you the most when you are abroad?
我最羡慕的是意大利人的安逸状态和纽约人既紧张又放松的状态，到头来一个都学不来。
I’m impressed by the slowness and love for everything around them run in Italian’s vein, and the chillness of New Yorkers even under great pressure. I have been constantly learning from them.
最想念祖国的什么？
What do you miss the most about China?
最想念以前的同学朋友以及亲人们。
When I feel nostalgia, I mostly are thinking about the old days with my friends and my family.
你会回国吗？为什么？
Will you come back? Why?
取决于职业发展，或者因为父母回去。
It depends on where my career leads me to. Or I think I should go back and stay with my parents.
出国后在不同的背景下再看中国是否看得更清晰，有哪些感触？
Is it more distinct to view China in a different environment after going abroad? Any thought?
看待很多问题不再谈论对错和好坏了，对待不同的观点有了更多的理解和包容。本科时候就觉得国内建筑设计学术和实践领域在历史发展的角度有明显的断层，觉得中国在设计领域的国际声誉和辨识度上还有很长的路要走。
It’s impossible to tell right from, good from bad in many situations. The straight forward way is to accept different perspectives and avoid meaningless argument. What concerns me from undergraduate study is the gap between traditional culture and contemporary design in the academic and practice field of Chinese architectural design. There is a long way for Chinese architects to establish our identity and reputation internationally.
你的学校有哪些教育特点？
What are the educational characteristics of your school?
GSAPP 比较明显的特点是它的文化包容性以及跨学科的探索。我认为这里学术资源是相当丰富的，但作为学生一定要有一个非常清晰的思路知道自己想要什么才可以游刃有余地使用这些资源。
The predominant character of GSAPP is its diversity and interdisciplinary exploration in architecture. The resources here is so comprehensive that individual needs a clear mind of his/her interest to navigate through and get most of them.
你现在工作公司的特色和有趣的地方？
What are the characteristics and interesting points of your firm?
我现在的公司是一个小型的专注于纽约当地改造和新建方案的工作室。我老板是一个每天带着他的腊肠犬上班，喜欢骑行，听音乐以及喝威士忌的迪士尼忠实粉丝。但是我最敬佩的还是他对于设计的深入的理解以及执着的精神。
My office is a small studio specializing in local renovation and new construction projects in New York City. My boss is a huge Disney fan who brings his dachshund to work every day and loves cycling, music and whiskey. What impressed me most is his deep-understanding and persistence in design.
最喜欢的艺术家（绘画音乐电影等广泛范围）是谁？给你创作带来了什么影响？
Who is your favorite artist (in wider range such as art, music, movie)? What is the influence?
我最喜欢的艺术家应该是高更，但我喜欢的更多的是《月亮与六便士》里的那个角色。我喜欢的是他一往无前的勇气和坚持。
My favorite artist is Paul Gauguin. But what I liked most is the character in The Moon and Sixpence. I love his courage and persistence.
觉得自己的作品集有哪些迷人的特质？
What fascinates viewers the most in your portfolio in your opinion?
我认为我的作品有刻意忽略建筑的纪念性和永恒性，更多的强调了它的媒介性，互动性和行为属性。
I think my work denies the monumentality and eternity of architecture. The focus is always at present, its mediumity, interactivity and even the “architectural behaviors“.

When did you start to follow gooood? Any suggestions?
从本科第一年就开始看了。我认为谷德很好的整合了我需要的信息，节省了我很多不必要的资料搜集时间。希望越做越好。
I started looking at Gooood from 2016. I think Gooood integrates relevant architecture information very well and saves me a lot of unnecessary time in collecting information. Hope it gets better and better.

该项目与心理学研究密切相关，通过审视自己的内心来激发设计私人住宅的创造潜力。通过将失败视为一种独特的可能性，房屋设计试图超越“梦想之家”，体现更广泛的潜意识行为、欲望、情感、姿态和元素。
Closely related to psychoanalysis, the studio utilized techniques of looking inward to unlock creative potential in the design of a private house. By embracing failure as a distinct possibility, the house design attempts to move beyond the “dream house” to one that embodies a broader range of subconscious actions, desires, emotions, gestures and elements.
如何具体化所选择的情感是设计的关键挑战。从录音开始，通过创作情感绘画和装配，唤醒了充满玩心的“内在小孩”。无法专注以及一心多用的情感被确定为个人住宅的主要概念，这也是当代生活方式下的一种日常感觉。
How to tangible the chosen emotion is the key challenge of the design. Starting from a sound piece, the playful “inner child” is unlocked through the process of creating emotional drawings and assemblies. The emotion of being sided and distracted is determined as the main concept of the personal house, as well as a daily feeling considering the contemporary lifestyle.
住宅位于森林和田野的分界线上，呼应了注意力的分散。房子的基本几何形状呈现出墙形的线性形态，强化了这种情感。房子内部混合的活动代表了一种混乱的生活方式，这与日常生活的有序满足形成了强烈对比。
The house is located on the division line of forest and field, which recalls the feeling of being sided and distracted. The basic geometry of the house represents a wall-like, linear shape that intensifies this emotion. Mixed activities inside the house represents a chaotic lifestyle, which strongly contrasts the satisfying order of daily life.

由于社交媒体的蓬勃发展和信息流的丰富，重庆市的旅游业在过去几年中取得了巨大的增长。由于铁路穿过建筑物，李子坝地区成为最热门的景点之一。越来越多的游客给当地居民带来了活力的同时也带来了喧闹。此外，单调的游览模式只带来了图形记忆和情景记忆……
The city of Chongqing is under a great growth of tourism in the past few years, due to the boom of social media and the abundance of information flow. The area of Liziba became one of the top attractions because of the rail road passing through buildings. Growing tourists brought vitality along with noise to local residents. Besides, monotonous touring mode brings only graphical memory instead of episodic memory…
设计从李子坝地区独特的版式出发，将立体的城市环境比作剧院。通过分析演员和观众的戏剧效果，我们试图重新定义该地区居民和游客的身份，在某些城市场景中将图形记忆与情景记忆相结合。按照线性/网络互连的离散城市更新方法，我们提供了一系列城市阶段。这种重新组织的城市环境将更好地适应不同的情景游戏，涉及各种社会、商业和文化活动。
Starting from the unique typography in Liziba area, the design compared the dimensional urban environment to the theater. By analyzing the theatric effect of both actors and audience, we tried to redefine the identities of residents and tourists in this area to mix graphical memory with episodical memory in certain urban scenarios. Following the method of discrete urban renewals with linear/network interconnections, we provided a sequence of urban stages. These reorganized urban settings will better adapt different situational plays, involving various social, commercial and cultural activities.

戈圣多纳托区靠近多拉河和市中心，被誉为工业革命期间繁荣的工业区。而由于该镇的工业危机和城市化进程，越来越多的工厂和工业用地转作其他活动，有些甚至因人口流失而被废弃。
With proximity to both river Dora and city center, Borgo San Donato is known as boomed industrial area during the industrial revolutions. While due to the fact that industry crisis and urbanization in this borgo, more and more factories and industrial land use transformed to other activities, some even became abandoned because of loss of population.
设计试图在该区域寻找工业与居住的新关系。重新激活新的个体或小规模劳动力，并改善这个混合地区的生活质量。
The design is trying to find a new relationship between industry and residence in this area. Reactivate new individual or small sized labors, as well as improving the living quality in this mixed area.
主要概念和重点是如何建立住宅和工厂之间的联系，涉及形式和功能用途。初步研究从空间特征和变革可能性开始。通过使用坡道作为代表性的建筑语言，该项目试图创建可渗透的地板边界。通过管理特定的空间功能和循环，实现了透视和更亲密地生活的理念。
The main concept and focus is on how to build connections between residences and factories, which concerns both on forms and functional uses. The preliminary research started at spatial characters and transformative possibilities. By using ramps as the representative architectural language, the project tried to create permeable floor boundaries. And by managing specific spatial functions and circulations, the idea of seeing through and more intimately, living through is achieved.

曼哈顿拘留所的历史是副作用的累积。从有毒化学品到不健康的人，监狱的外墙掩盖了政治差异，并被一系列市政建筑隔离。
The history of the Manhattan detention complex is an accumulation of side effects. From toxic chemicals to unfit people, political otherness is covered by the facade of the jail, and segregated by the array of municipal buildings.
当地唐人街社区对监狱的抵抗早在 20 世纪 80 年代就开始了。尽管他们的口号、活动、甚至监狱附近的生意背后都坚定地带有叛逆的态度，但社区的声音和力量仍然很低，难以察觉。
The resistance of local Chinatown community against the jail started as early as the 1980s. Although the rebellious attitude lies firmly behind their slogans, activities, and even their business near the jail, the community’s voice and power stayed low and unperceivable.
由于未来计划建造一座摩天大楼监狱，干预措施将在拆除旧监狱时进行。这被认为是听到社区声音的最后机会。通过解构监狱来揭示经过编辑的事实，更多的公共部门将参与建造新监狱的决定。此外，该项目还将揭示新的愿景、空间和计划，以最终废除监禁以及城市和唐人街之间的公平空间关系。
Intervention will take place in the demolition of the old jail, due to the future plan of a skyscraper jail. It is considered the last chance for the community’s voice to be heard. By revealing the redacted fact through the deconstruction of the jails, more public sectors will participate in the decision of building a new jail. In addition, the project would shed light on new visions, spaces, and plans for the both ultimate abolition of incarceration and a fair spatial relationship between the city and Chinatown.
