来自葡萄牙艺术家Barato采用谷歌搜索，或者更准确的说是谷歌图片搜索引擎，创造了一系列极简主义数码绘画。Barato发现谷歌算法可以产生和谐而结构严谨的图案。在展示图片的缩略图之前，谷歌算法会根据每张图片的主要颜色创造矩形色块，色块尺寸则参照了图片本身的尺寸和比例。改变搜索词时，谷歌会自动生成不同的图案组合，如“雪”、“火”、“皇家马德里”、“蒙德里安”、“雾”、“森林”、“蓝色克莱因”等。谷歌这种创造随机色块的做法让谷歌搜索成为了一个有趣的即兴创作游戏，人们可以从中探索数码绘画的艺术魅力。

The portuguese artist Barato uses Google Search, more precisely the search for images, to create digital minimalist paintings. Browsing the Internet under adverse conditions, Barato has realized the ability of Google’s algorithms to generate harmonious and well-structured patterns. He also realized the ease of influencing the color palette by searching for words such as “snow”, “fire”, “Real Madrid”, “Mondrian”, “fog”, “forest”, “Blue Klein” etc. The google algorithm creates rectangles with the dominant color of each image, which distributes along the screen according to the size and proportion of the images, before showing all the pixels. This process of loading images that create random graphics makes Google searches a fun improvisation game in the art of painting digitally.

艺术家的作品受到一些大师的影响，如罗斯科和蒙德里安，但是这些作品的创作过程是通过全屏截图的方式进行的，当艺术家在感受到完美的比例和颜色平衡的瞬间捕捉到这些画面。

作品最初发表于一些数码平台和社交网络上面，Barato随后决定将这些图案变成“街头艺术”，让它们出现在广告牌和宣传栏里，从而让这些平凡的广告平台变成了一个极简艺术的展示媒介，街道也随之变成了艺术画廊。正因为如此，这项计划受到了市政当局的支持，从而获得了从未有过的公共支持。

The project is influenced by the work of some master like Rothko and Mondrian, but in reality these “paintings” are created with a simple “print screen” in the precise moment when Barato feel the perfect composition and color balance.

After going through digital platforms and social networks, Barato decided to turn these works into “street art” by showing the compositions in muppis and billboards, transforming the usual advertising platforms in minimal art displays, and streets in art galleries. For this it had the support of some municipalities and agencies, occupying publicity supports that were not being used.

Some of the Artworks could be seen on streets of Amsterdam, London subway, Porto billboards, and on some other small villages around Portugal in different print sizes.
