The Bubble chandelier was inspired by the shape of soap bubbles. It is constructed of 2 liter soda bottles and the shadows cast by the chandelier mimic the cell-like shape that soap bubbles take. The bottles are connected by hand with small bolts. By utilizing post-consumer packaging, each chandelier upcycles sixty plastic bottles. The resulting piece emphasizes the beauty of materials which are commonly thought of as quite ordinary.
Currently the Bubble Chandelier is just a prototype. Shaun Kasperbauer planning a small production run of this piece in the summer of 2011. If you are interested in purchasing or reselling this item please feel free to contact Shaun Kasperbauer at info@skasperbauer.com.
