这件作品完成后,得到了巴西艺术和设计领域最为传奇 “On the Other side of the Wall”展会邀请。

“I am interested in ideas, not merely in visual products.” – Marcel Duchamp

The Pipe Light lighting system was created as a product that would have a form similar to that of a living organism that invades and takes all the parts of a house, as if it were a climbing ivy, and in so doing, it becomes a bridge between art and design. But, contrary to its inspiration, that goes through the photosynthesis process, the pipelight system feeds on darkness. These lanterns also reveal the technical design that is hidden between the walls, using pipes and other existing industrial components.

This installation was the result of an invitation issued by Hussein Jarouche, when he bought the abandoned plot next to his shop, Micasa, a project signed by Triptyque. After this installation was finished, the place received an exhibiton called “On the Other side of the Wall” where 19 of the most expressive names in the field of brazilian art and design were present. The show raised questions on the present state of the creative process and stimulated a dialogue between art and design and a decrease of its boundaries.

These lanterns were first used on the night – club Museum project, and from then on it has gained a life of his own and was transformed into a product that will be edited by Micasa, with special projects by Wall Lamps.
