Webb Point 观景平台坐落在墨尔本港景观中，是一处极具雕塑性的空间小品。墨尔本港正沿着 Todd 路、Perc White 保护区和 Webb 小径延伸，扩展港口景观服务的功能空间，观景台的存在确保了在港口附近有一个适宜公众游乐的区域。区域总体规划的主旨是侧重生态学、地方性和安全保障功能，同时提供视觉上的连贯性。用景观将港口西部高度工业化的环境和郊区空间联系在一起。

Conceived as a sculptural element in The Port Melbourne landscape, the Webb Point Observation Platform sits within a wider masterplan of landscape works and sound walls designed to ensure a highly amenable public interface with the Port of Melbourne Corporation’s expanding functional capacities along Todd Road, Perc White Reserve and Webb Trail. The core principles of the wider masterplan focus largely on Ecology, Place Making and Safety and Security, with the aim of providing a visually cohesive and readily accessible landscape link through the heavily industrialised environment at the interface of Port Melbourne’s suburban edge and the Port Facilities to the west.
