root//aspect no.1-no.3是由德国设计师Denis Kostic和留德华人设计师单鹏昊设计的互动装置系列。这个项目旨在探索人，物之间的关系。设计师选择三个不同的小主题，回归到人类历史的原点去探索交互的可能性。他们分别是，火，时间，以及寂静。希望通过不同的角度去看已经存在很久的事情。这也是项目名的由来。

Root//aspect no.1-no.3 is a interaction object collection designed by Denis Kostic and Penghao Shan.This project aims to explore the relationship beween objects and human-beings.We have chosen three different things,which involve the civilization of human since the beginning of human-history.

They are “fire”,”time” and “silence”.Combined with the advanced tools such as Arduino and Processing we have builded three different functional objects that based on our theme.

Definition of aspect no.1 “Fire”

对于“光”的渴望一直根值于人类心中，这也是启发人类找到火的原因。时过境迁，随着工业文明以及机器的使用，原始的取火的动作和含义消失殆尽。机器只有On 或者Off两种状态。

基于这种观察，设计师把人类原始的习惯以全新的方式演绎出来。一个可以通过动作来点亮火的装置。

The desire of brightness is the nature of human.That’s what makes us finding fire.The way that people get light has been changed since the beginning of fire.Day after day,the way to get light has been so restricted by engineering and Machine themselves.The original movement of getting fire is lost without any omen.

Inspired by this observation we have come up with an idea to make the aspect no.1 to bring the authentic way back.The Object would be delighted by different gesture of humans through flex and force Sensor.

什么是时间?古代的人，日出而作，日落而息。人类与自然共生对待时间的态度也是非常个人化的。现代概念的时间在最近100年被机器异化了。如同卓别林在摩登时代里面演的一样，每一个人都是机器的齿轮的一部分。美国作家Taleb在自己的书中提到过一个故事，原始的一秒是来源于人类的心跳。基于这个启发，我们设计了第二个交互式装置aspect no.2。一只根据你的心跳的跳动速度自适应的手表，如果你的心跳的快，你的时间就走的快，如果你的心跳的慢，你的时间就走的慢。

时间是一种相对的存在，对你我他而言一样而又不一样。

What is time? At ancient time people got up with sunrise and went home with setting of sun.People live with the nature and treat time very personal.The modern concept of time has been changed over last 100 year because of the industrialization.People get used to live like a machine to be suitable for modern work like what has been showed in the Movie Modern Times of Chaplin.

The american Writer Nassim Nicholas Taleb has in his book Antifragility told a story that the original second came from the pulse of human.This lead us to design our second object “Time”.The time will be told according to the speed of heart beat.

The second will be defined according to one heart beat with our “Time”.

在古代，无用的时间或者“寂静”是我们赖以生存的一部分。人类在很长一段时间里面很努力的为自己的放松和思考创造空间。这个空间并不一定是物理上的，也可以是精神上的。今天，我们有很多通路通向信息，“在线”成为了一种常态，你几乎无法关掉繁忙的大脑。

我们认为法国艺术家 奥古斯特.罗丹在创造的雕塑“思考者“的姿态是人类文明中最重要的姿态之一。今天，”思考者“的这种头部向下进行信息处理的姿态已经被信息上瘾症所取代。低头，意味着不断摄入信息。

基于这样的观察和思考，我们设计了一个响应式的耳机为你提供“寂静”。当你低头的时候，寂静就会产生。抬头的时候会因听到音乐，水平装置是可以进行正常的交流。

In the past,the silence or useless-time was part of our nature.We have tried very hard to keep a space for ourself to relax and think.Today it’s very hard to have useless time.We have so many different approach to information,we are always online.You could barely shut down your busy-mind.

The french artist Augustin Rodin has made a sculpture “The thinker”,which we think one of the most important gesture of human-beings.Nowadays the gesture of “ the thinker” has been replaced by the gesture of “ mobile-phone Addict” or “Information Addict”.The difference and Similarity between “ The Thinker” and “ Information Addict” lead us to the idea to create pro-active object that could offer you “Silence”.

The moment of silence would be created thorough the different movement of head.
