兼具雕塑与建筑双重属性，NÆRODRON邀请观者在空间与观念层面不断试探并跨越自身对“边界”的认知。其柔软、充气的墙体以倾斜姿态围合空间——有时可供进入、停留，有时则以压迫性的姿态存在，不断质疑我们应如何与这样的结构发生互动。作品既带有游戏般的趣味，又隐含一丝威胁感，引导观者摆脱非此即彼的二元视角。除了令人着迷且极具张力的空间体验之外，它还提出了这样的疑问：“建筑的边界止于何处？艺术又从哪里开始？墙体究竟是在分隔我们，还是将我们联系在一起？”

Part sculpture, part architecture, the NÆRODRON invites visitors to test and transgress their perception of limits, both in the spatial and conceptual sense. Its soft, inflated walls are inclined – sometimes inhabitable, sometimes overpowering, questioning the way we are invited to interact with such a structure. Having both a playful touch and a menacing edge to it, this work challenges the perceiver away from a binary stance. Beyond its captivating, imposing spatial sensation, this work asks: “Where does architecture end and art start? How do walls separate or unite us?”

Its name combines nero – black – with dron – a reference to the continuous drone soundscape composed by Paris-based music producer and sound artist Drux. Together, image, architecture and sound create a quiet sensory experience that sits somewhere between installation, space and temporary refuge. The accompanying images capture the work installed on the shoreline, where the stark black form contrasts with the openness of the beach and the horizon beyond.
