Alpha Cruxis is a Berlin-based label by Australian designer Rebecca Martin. Working with leather Alpha Cruxis creates sculptural, minimal bags celebrating material, technique and form.
Using traditional leather working techniques, each Alpha Cruxis piece is cut, sewn and finished by hand in our Berlin studio from the highest quality Italian vegetable tanned leather.
The debut 2013 bag collection from Alpha Cruxis ‘GEOMETRY’ consists of two shoulder bags, two clutches and one coin purse. The faceted geometric designs use 3mm thick black leather, giving the bags their rigid form. Each bag is fully lined in black suede, and uses silver hardware.
The collection is available through the Alpha Cruxis web store, and at the Henrik Bivskov Boutique, Copenhagen. Prices range from €210 to €560.
About the designer: In 2010, Tasmanian born Rebecca Martin graduated with First Class Honours from the Bachelor of Design (Fashion) at the Royal Melbourne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. Rebecca relocated to Europe in 2011, interning at Danish avant-garde label Barbara i Gongini before settling in Berlin.
