CAN COMPANY在首家店建成一周年之际，再次与MAS合作，新店坐落在上海瑞金二路272号。所在园区原址为老上海古籍出版社。原址“出版社”概念给予了MAS极大的灵感，坚持设计的“在地性”权衡商业与艺术的分量，新店你将会看到……

On the first anniversary of its first store, CAN COMPANY collaborated with MAS again for a new store located at 272 Ruijin 2nd Road in Shanghai. The new store is located at No. 272 Ruijin 2nd Road in Shanghai. The original location of the park was the old Shanghai Antiquarian Book Publishing House. The concept of “publishing house” gave MAS great inspiration to insist on the “localness” of the design to weigh the weight of commerce and art, and the new store you will see ……

一座巨大的“机械”坐落在建筑内，咖啡师于内，顾客围坐四周，充分给与空间内的社交价值。即使当下人们面临严峻的疫情冲击，但还是希望我们可以永远保持来这“做朋友”，或许一杯咖啡便给予了理由。这也正是CAN COMPANY的宗旨“为大家做咖啡”。

A huge “machine” is located in the building, with baristas inside and customers sitting around, giving full social value to the space. Even though we are facing a serious epidemic, we hope that we can always keep coming here to “be friends” and perhaps a cup of coffee is the reason. Perhaps a cup of coffee is the reason. This is also the purpose of CAN COMPANY, “making coffee for everyone”.

作为本次设计中的主体，灵感源自于“古籍出版社”我们挖掘的“出版”概念，希望展现“印刷中”的这一状态。从而在空间中单独放置了一架处于工作中的大型“印刷机”。这是一次艺术性与实用性结合的一次尝试，它自可以是一件大型的装置，但基于功能的必要存在，同样也满足了使用的需求。

As the main body of this design, the inspiration comes from the concept of “publishing” that we explored in the “Antique Book Publishing House”, hoping to show the state of “printing in progress”. Thus, a large working “printing machine” was placed in the space alone. This is an attempt to combine artistry and practicality, it can be a large installation, but based on the necessary presence of function, it also meets the needs of use.

不锈钢它稳定、坚硬、耐蚀，成型性好，无疑是作为咖啡台的优选材料之一。但这次，MAS将它变得“柔软”起来。通过墙、顶、地面支点与横向滚轴，使其转换成纸张的形态，搭建组合，形成极具张力视觉感受。

Stainless steel, which is stable, hard, corrosion resistant and well formed, is undoubtedly one of the preferred materials as a coffee table. But this time, MAS has made it “soft”. Through the wall, top and floor pivot points and horizontal rollers, it is transformed into the form of paper, and the combination is built to form a very tense visual experience.

“机械”左侧座位区与后场区域很好的提供的线下社交的属性，这可以使顾客和朋友间的交谈说笑，也可以与咖啡师的沟通和分享。“机械”右侧也提供了相对于左侧较安静些的空间区域，向上抬升的机械组件隔而不挡，在此落座的顾客可以进行办公创作和进行他们自己的线上社交行为。

The seating area on the left side of the “machine” and the back of the room provide offline social attributes, which allow customers to talk and laugh with friends, as well as communicate and share with the barista. The right side of the “machine” also provides a quieter space than the left side, with a raised mechanical component that allows customers to work and create their own online social activities.

MAS在空间内设计定制了一组统一语言的家具，前场的吧椅，后场的长椅、短凳及小圆桌。在与人直接接触的物件使用了深色的木材，造型轻盈且具有结构感，希望捕捉一点老上海复古味道和似曾相识的市井感。

MAS designed a custom set of furniture in a unified language within the space, with bar stools in the front and benches, stools and small round tables in the back. Dark woods were used for objects in direct contact with people, with a light and structured shape, hoping to capture a bit of old Shanghai vintage flavor and a sense of déjà vu in the city.

MAS与CAN COMPANY在瑞金二路店的再次合作，以一家店，一张台，二次社交，三次连接。继续讲述着CAN的品牌故事，接力着上海的咖啡文化。塑造顾客与顾客的社交连接提供场景，顾客与咖啡师的分享连接提供载体，小店与社区的连接架设桥梁。

The collaboration between MAS and CAN COMPANY at the Ruijin 2nd Road store is based on a store, a table, a second socialization and three connections. It continues to tell the brand story of CAN and to relay the coffee culture of Shanghai. It provides a scene for social connection between customers and customers, a carrier for sharing connection between customers and baristas, and a bridge between small stores and the community.
