Tarsus轧棉厂园区位于梅尔辛省的Tarsus区，由一位英国商人建造于1865年，被认为是土耳其地中海地区最早的工业建筑之一。

The Tarsus Old Ginnery complex (TOG), located in the Tarsus district of Mersin province, was built in 1865 by a British merchant and is considered as one of the earliest industrial buildings of the Mediterranean region in Turkey.

Sayka Architecture对这座19世纪废弃轧棉厂的建筑遗产分三个阶段进行了修复，改造后，建筑已作为Boğaziçi大学考古挖掘团队在Gözlükule丘陵遗址上的工作场地投入使用，此外还设有一个额外的会议厅和面向观众开放的展览空间。

The dilapidated buildings of this abandoned 19thcentury ginnery have been restored in three phases to serve, rather uniquely, as the premises of Boğaziçi University’s(BOUN) excavation team working on the ancient mound of Gözlükule in the heart of the town, with an additional conference hall and exhibition spaces for visitors.

新的方案旨在使综合体重新融入现代城镇环境，为研究工作服务，同时丰富当地社区的社会和文化生活。设计既采取了可持续策略，又延续了纪念性工业遗产的独特历史特征。

The complex is thus reintegrated into the contemporary life of the town, serving research and enriching the social and cultural life of local communities. TOG was simultaneously re-imagined through sustainable design and retains its unique historic character as an industrial heritage monument.

It is the first industrial heritage complex in Turkey to have been awarded a LEED Gold Certificate.
