Appreciation towards Theo Altenberg for providing the following description:

Theo Altenberg涉猎表演，摄影，音乐，电影等多领域的艺术家，他的绘画作品具有非凡的能量，丰富的色彩。每一笔都像是有生命，耐人寻味的深意。

Theo Altenberg is considered an artist in many arenas including performance, photography, music, film, and of course in painting.  Centered in Berlin, his color-rich and abstract oil paintings have an incredible energy all of their own.  The visual texture of each piece is intriguing and projects much more life than what is actually on the canvas.  It is almost as though Altenberg managed to capture the moment when you are painting, and look down to realized that both your palette and water have turned into a gorgeous canvas all on their own.

This quite vivid collection of paintings are just the beginning of this multi-disciplinary individual, as his portfolio includes text-based installations, art videos, performance art, and music.  After studying at the School of Arts Krefeld he lived in the community Friedrichshof, where he shaped the Analytical organization artistically as a photographer and filmmaker. His photographs showed an alternative, social and art history and everyday life in the community.  Altenberg was also the editor of the AA News, a magazine for alternative lifestyles, and founded the El Cabrito on the island of La Gomera.  His numerous exhibition projects deal with the investigation of the social experiment at Friedrichshof as he continues to be active as an artist and in his community.
