Who is your favorite architect? Why?
I like Koolhass, because of his unique vision, his concepts and comprehensiveness. I like reading his books and everything about him.
What is the major characteristic of your current school’s education?
It is very traditional, mainly focused on hand drawing and handcraft.
Why did you choose MAD for your internship?
MAD is one of the best architectural offices in the world. Simultaneously I am able to experience a different type of Culture in China. Besides, MAD’s working methods are very interesting, mostly digital works. I can learn a lot here.
What are your thoughts and feelings upon Chinese Architecture and the environment? Any suggestions?
I have only been here for a very short time, don’t know much about China yet. There is a significant contrast between historical buildings and contemporary architecture in China. There are not only old and low-rise buildings, but also contrasting new contemporary architecture.
What is your favorite project in your portfolio? Why?
My degree takes 6 years. This is my fifth year. My favorite project is the retirement village, mostly because it is practical, meets the social needs and may have further influence. I also like the architectural design of this project, as I had full control from its initial concept to developed details.

传统，非常的传统。很多手画，手工的要求。
为什么选择到MAD实习？
MAD是世界上最好的offices之一。同时想来中国体验不同的文化。而且MAD的工作方式很有意思，基本是电脑的。可以在这里学到很多不同的东西。
对中国建筑以及环境有怎样的感触？建议是什么？
我到中国时间很短，了解不深。从现在来看，中国的建筑形成很大的对比。有很旧的，低矮的建筑。也有很新的建筑，形成了强烈的对比。
在自己的作品集中，你最喜欢的作品是什么？为什么？
我的学校建筑学制是6年，今年是第5年，我最喜欢养老院作业。我喜欢这个项目是因为其主题非常具有现实性，社会性。社会很需要，同时可以发挥出影响力。
同时也喜欢这个项目的设计，无论是前期的概念还是到后期的很多细节，都紧紧的控制住。

Nursery Home Timisoara,

We started the design by using a big block defined by the urban regulations of the area, like a monastery with an interior court. The interior court works like a public space for the old people in the nursery home, and like a private space for the inhabitants of the area. Then we started modeling our volume by adapting it to the surroundings and the needs. The facades were adapted to get maximum sunlight. Now we had an neighbourhood friendly monastery, but we didn’t want to have an enclosed building, but a more open one, one that would invite people in. So we sliced the monastery walls creating four major gateways, which lighten the big block, generating also a people friendly building.

我们在城市中充满限制的场地先放入一个大体量块，接着做了一个内院。这个内向的公共空间就是老年人的养老院。我们开始推敲体块模型，适应这里的环境和需求。我们调整外墙，以获得最大的日照效率。我们设计出了友好的庭院，但是我们不希望建筑封闭，希望建筑是友好开放，可以吸引人过来。因此将建筑的墙壁切断，创造四个主要通道，减少了很大的体量，形成一个人尺度的友好建筑。

We put a very strong accent on the quality of the interior space: THE BIG ATRIUM, RESTAURANTS, BARS [at different levels], and the terraces on all levels. This is the result of our approach to the volume, a stair like volume, which creates possible space variations on the inside, but on every level in strong relationship with the exterior.
