浮亭 – 大理石吊灯
Suspended Marble Lighting in Space

具有强烈空间感的天然大理石吊灯。由于重量和脆弱带来的不安全感，天然石材很少用于在天花板上。这盏吊灯试图挑战这一印象，其重量感和漂浮在空中的姿态形成了强烈对比。因为石材的沉重，走在下面，空间感强烈；开放如花的形体有如漂浮的亭子，向下的折边提供给人一种包容感的空间，适合3-4米的高空间使用；当几个一组高低不同的悬挂时，动感更加强烈。

该灯具幅面1.8mx1.4m，厚度2cm，重量90kg，内藏8个卤素灯头。设计制作周期历时4个月。

Very few natural stones are used in suspended ceilings due to the heaviness and fragility in natural stone, which make people feel unsafe. The suspended lighting design attempts to challenge this impression and create a contrast between the heaviness in marble and the lightness in suspension. The weight of stone compresses the space below. The triangulated panels expend in space like a pagoda, creating an inclusive space for the people below. The suspended pagoda lighting is suitable for space of 3-4 meters height. While a group of pagoda lightings with different height suspended together in space, it creates a special rhythm of movement.

The lighting measures 1.8mx1.4m, created with marble panels of 2cm thick, weighted 90kg, lit with 8 halogen lamps. The design and production period is four months.

一点支撑大理石桌
“Buildiniture”- Marble Table with one supporting point

一点支撑的石桌，其挑战来自于如何颠覆大理石这种材料的重量感。大理石虽然肌理自然丰富，但并不适合以单一的材料和结构主体出现在家具中，因为自重大而硬度又较低。其几乎没有弹性的特征是非常独特而具有启发性的，设计师由此构想了一个一点支撑而伸展开去的桌面形态，桌面厚度的变化顺应了石材的剪切力在悬挑过程中的变化，加上底部放大的桌角，从而形成稳定的力传递体系。最终的桌子十分稳定，但看起来十分轻盈，自然的石材肌理使其带有一定的亲切感。

桌面1m x 1.6m, 由整石3D雕刻而成；桌腿是整石经匠人雕刻而成; 桌面边缘厚度15mm。石材品种为宇宙灰

The challenge for the stone table supported at one point comes from the reinterpretation on the weight of marble. Even though marble has rich texture, because it is heavy and brittle, it is not suitable to be defined as the only one material or structure in furniture design. Lacking of tensile strength in stone inspires the designer to envision a table surface expending from one support. The thickness of the table changes according to the change of shear stress in the cantilever. On top of that, the enlarged table legs enhance the structure system of the cantilever table. In the end, the table is very stable as it looks light and intimate.

The table top is 1mX1.6m. It is sculpted by a CNC machine from one piece of stone. The table legs are also sculpted by craftsman from one piece of stone. The extreme edge of table surface is 15mm. Marble used here is Universe Gray.
