Appreciation towards SNARK for providing the following description:

日本东京新宿一间面积不大的办公室居然能玩滑板！起因是业主希望在工作时可以感到自己没有远离所爱的滑板生活方式。所以SNARK（小阿瀬直）建筑设计事务所的建筑师为客户将会议室设置成一个允许滑滑板的空间。当客户要滑滑板时，只需要将轻质方便移动的会议桌移到一侧即可。整个滑板区呈一个u型，两头高而陡峭，中间低且平坦。滑板区可以看成一个大家具，两侧被用作储物空间，放置书本与植物，与工作区之间采用一个书柜相隔。建筑师在窗户安装了护栏，外侧种上植物。

有趣，精致，没有突兀感，充满星期天风格的办公空间。

The clients said they would like to make an “environment where they could work while still feeling close to their skateboarding lifestyle”. So we installed a skate ramp in the middle of the office. Once the desks are moved, what is normally a meeting space becomes a skate ramp .

We took care with the construction and finishing touches of the ramp. If we made it like a street skate ramp, the skating area (ramp) and office (desks) would be two separate things, resulting in “desks in a skating area.” Since what the client wanted was to ”skate in their office,” we changed the traditional skate ramp form, building the ramp as furniture with shelves. To construct it, we commissioned the general fabricator “riceproduct”, who constructed the ramp with the high level of precision and detail necessary for furniture manufacturing and finished it with melamine. The shelves in the skate ramp have the function of storage for books or plants, but the ramp itself additionally serves to conceal the meeting space from the workspace. We also installed a guard rail in the window and placed plants in that buffer zone.

In creating a precision made product using materials that wouldn’t feel out of place in the room, we were able to create an office that represents “Sunday Vision’s” style.
