Why go abroad?
因为我是一个看起来一直在规划却总不按常理出牌的人，我期待我的人生有无限可能。
Because I’m the kind of person who seems to plan all the time but always goes off the rails. I look forward to a life brimming with boundless possibilities.
在国外遇到了什么让你印象最深刻的事情？
What impressed you the most when you are abroad?
大概是他们那种坦然面对人生又认真享受生活的态度吧，呆的越久就能更加平静。希望自己不再因为恐惧遗憾而奋力奔跑，允许自己停下来休息。
It’s likely their approach to life—facing it with tranquility while savoring every moment—that has left a lasting impression on me. The longer I remain, the more serene my mind becomes. I hope to no longer be driven by the fear and regret, but instead grant myself the grace to pause and rest.
最想念祖国的什么？
What do you miss the most about China?
我知道国内有一群爱我的人，我真的很想他们。
I know there are some people who love me, and I really miss them.
你会回国么，为什么？
Will you come back? Why?
也许吧，谁知道呢。总会有新的机遇和挑战。
Maybe, who knows. There are always new opportunities and challenges.
出国后在不同的背景下再看中国是否看得更清晰，有哪些感触？
Is it more distinct to view China in a different environment after going abroad? Any thought?
出国后，从不同的背景和视角观察中国，我确实获得了一种外部的清晰感和独特的触动。当我面对不同文化时，愈发意识到中国文化所蕴含的深度与广度，以及它在当代世界中的独特价值。
After going abroad and observing China from different backgrounds and perspectives, I have indeed gained a sense of external clarity and a unique touch. When I am confronted with different cultures, I realize more and more the depth and breadth of Chinese culture and its unique value in the contemporary world.
你的学校有哪些教育特点？
What are the educational characteristics of your school?
我的学校萨凡纳艺术设计学院是一个纯粹的艺术学院，和综合类大学不太一样。这里没有固定的形状，没有被框定的答案，只有无数交错的思维轨迹。学到的是一种感知世界的方式。用眼睛去目睹万物的细节，用耳朵去倾听那些被忽略的声音，用双手去解构、重组，将虚无的念头化作可触的实体。而最重要的是，学会在这条不断前行的道路上回归自己。在这里每一个人的奇思妙想和鲜明特点都可以被接受，学校给了很大的包容和平台。我很感激。
My school, the Savannah College of Art and Design, is a place purely dedicated to art—very different from a traditional university. There are no fixed shapes, no set answers—just endless intersecting ideas and boundless creativity. What we learn isn’t just a skill, but a way of seeing the world: to notice the smallest details with our eyes, to hear the often-overlooked sounds with our ears, and to break things down and rebuild them with our hands, turning abstract thoughts into something real. But more than anything, the biggest lesson is learning how to return to yourself on this journey of constant growth. Here, every wild idea and unique perspective is welcomed. The school gives us the space and freedom to explore, and for that, I’m truly grateful.
最喜欢的艺术家（绘画音乐电影等广泛范围）是谁？给你创作带来了什么影响？
Who is your favorite artist (in wider range such as art, music, movie)? What is the influence?
绘画方面，我喜欢威廉·特纳（J.M.W. Turner），他用光影和色彩塑造了介于现实与梦境之间的空间，仿佛时间在画布上流淌。他的作品让我意识到艺术不仅仅是具象的描绘，更是一种情感的传递，一种模糊却深刻的记忆表达。
In terms of painting, I like J.M.W. Turner, who uses light, shadow and color to shape the space between reality and dream, as if time is flowing on the canvas. His works make me realize that art is not only a figurative depiction, but also a transmission of emotion, a vague but profound expression of memory.
觉得自己的作品集有哪些迷人的特质？
What fascinates viewers the most in your portfolio in your opinion?
我认为我的作品集中关注空间与历史的对话，更强调感性的表达与一种水墨画的意境。我希望景观不仅是物理空间的塑造，更是一种情感的流动，仿佛笔墨在纸上晕染，自然生发。我很喜欢自己关于墓地保存的项目，以柔和的生态修复手法，让生与逝在自然中交融，传递一种诗意的情感。
I think my work focuses on the dialogue between space and history, emphasizing more on sensual expression and a kind of ink painting mood. I hope that the landscape is not only the shaping of physical space, but also the flow of emotion, as if ink and brush are dyed on paper and naturally generated. I like my project about the preservation of cemeteries very much, with a soft ecological restoration method, letting the life and death mingle in nature, and conveying a kind of poetic emotion.

When did you start to follow gooood? Any suggestions?
我大概从本科时就开始关注谷德网，尤其是当时在申请学校的时候，特别喜欢看“在海外”这个专辑。里面年轻的优秀的设计师们的经历、思考和作品让我充满敬意，也成为我不断努力的动力。我希望有一天，自己也能成为其中的一员，用作品讲述属于自己的设计哲学。祝越办越好。
I’ve been following Gooood since I was an undergraduate, and I especially enjoyed reading the “Overseas” program when I was applying to schools. The experiences, thoughts, and works of the young and talented designers in the album filled me with respect and motivated me to keep working hard. I hope that one day I can be one of them and tell my own design philosophy with my works. I hope the program continues improving.

01.
Protection of Chinese Sturgeon
中华鲟作为“水中活化石”，承载着生态与文化的双重价值。然而，由于栖息地破坏、环境污染及水利工程建设，这一珍稀物种正面临严峻的生存挑战。我的设计项目以生态修复为核心，结合水文调控、栖息地优化与人工繁育，构建一个创新性的保育基地，兼具保护、研究、科普教育与景观融合，助力中华鲟种群的复兴。
The Chinese sturgeon, a “living fossil,” faces severe threats due to habitat destruction, pollution, and hydropower projects. My project focuses on ecological restoration, combining hydrological regulation, habitat optimization, and artificial breeding to create a conservation base for the species’ revival.
中华鲟的主要产卵地位于长江上游宜昌至重庆河段，历史上它们会从东海和长江口洄游至上游，在江底的砾石河床上产卵。然而，随着水坝建设、水道改造、污染加剧，中华鲟的天然栖息环境受到了严重破坏，野生种群数量急剧下降。尽管蠡湖并非中华鲟的天然繁殖地，但它可以成为一个理想的人工繁育和幼鱼培育基地，弥补自然条件的不足，为中华鲟的保护提供科学支持。
The main spawning grounds are in the upper Yangtze River, but these have been damaged, leading to a decline in the population. Lihu Lake, though not a natural spawning site, can serve as an ideal base for artificial breeding and juvenile sturgeon cultivation.
本项目的核心策略首先是通过水文调控和生态修复来提升水质与水动力环境，借助湿地系统和沉水植物来改善水体质量，为中华鲟提供更适宜的栖息环境。同时，我们将通过模拟中华鲟天然产卵场的砾石河床，优化栖息地，提供深水缓流区和适宜的洄游通道，以提高幼鱼的生存率。其次，项目将在蠡湖建立中华鲟人工孵化中心，培育适应淡水环境的幼鱼，并实施放流计划，以支持野生种群的复壮。此外，为了增强公众对水生态保护的意识，项目还将打造低干扰的生态游览区，让游客能够近距离了解中华鲟及其他濒危物种的保护重要性。
The project will improve water quality and hydrodynamic conditions, create suitable habitats, and establish an artificial breeding center at Lihu Lake. Additionally, a low-impact ecological tourism area will raise public awareness about endangered species protection. This design integrates conservation with urban landscapes, promoting sustainable water ecosystems and human-nature harmony.

Memory Inheritance
杭州大运河文化遗产公园以世界文化遗产——杭州大运河为设计核心，在尊重其历史文化意义的基础上，将其改造为一座现代城市公园，成为历史与现代之间的重要桥梁。项目旨在通过当代景观设计，不仅展示大运河的深厚底蕴，还为其注入新的活力，赋予其新的社会与文化功能。公园的设计融合了大运河的历史元素与现代生活需求，构建了一个多功能的公共空间，既承载文化传承，也服务于现代城市居民。
The Hangzhou Grand Canal Heritage Park is designed around the UNESCO-listed Grand Canal, transforming it into a modern urban park while preserving its historical and cultural significance. The park serves as a bridge between the past and present, infusing new vitality and social functions into the Canal.
公园的设计通过文化与功能的结合，体现了大运河的历史遗产。公园的亮点包括水舞台、运河观景台和互动教育区等多个功能区。水舞台受到运河水文化的启发，既是文化地标，也是表演空间，唤起人们对传统水上生活的记忆；运河观景台提供了广阔的视野，结合数字展览和解说标牌，游客可以沉浸于大运河的历史长河中；互动教育区则通过主题游乐区、展览和互动装置，让不同年龄段的游客都能深入了解运河的文化遗产。
The design integrates cultural heritage with modern needs, featuring key elements like a water stage, observation platform, and interactive education area. These spaces provide visitors with opportunities to explore the Canal’s history through performances, scenic views, and engaging exhibits.

Slow Life in the City
拱墅区的历史居民区，作为杭州这座传统与现代交织城市中的珍贵遗产，承载着悠久的文化记忆与人文故事。然而，随着现代化进程的推进，这片历史悠久的区域正逐渐被高楼大厦所包围，显得格格不入。为了保护这一文化瑰宝并推动其复兴，本项目旨在通过精细化的设计，既延续历史街区的文化血脉，又注入新的社区活力，让居民在充满烟火气与现代功能的环境中生活。
The historical residential area in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, represents a valuable heritage blending tradition and modernity. However, as the city modernizes, this area is increasingly surrounded by high-rise buildings. This project aims to protect and revive the district by preserving its cultural essence while adding new vitality, offering a living environment that merges traditional charm with modern functions.
本项目从“历史文化的延续”和“社区生活的复兴”两方面着手，通过深入挖掘居民的生活习惯、历史场景与现代城市功能，致力于打造一个人与建筑、人与自然、人与社区紧密连接的共享空间。我们从尊重原有建筑肌理和街巷布局出发，通过局部更新，保留并再现传统的社区生活场景。特别是设计了网状构筑物，为居民提供晾晒衣物、休憩、聚会等多功能的共享空间，进一步激活了社区文化。
By focusing on both “cultural continuity” and “community revitalization,” the design integrates residents’ lifestyles, historical elements, and urban needs. It respects the original architecture and layout while updating certain aspects to preserve traditional life. A mesh structure provides multifunctional spaces for drying clothes, resting, and socializing, enriching community culture and enhancing the area’s vitality.

The Bridge Between People
这个项目位于马萨诸塞州的贝尔岛保护区（Belle Isle Reservation），这是一个毗邻东波士顿、里维尔和温斯罗普的湿地生态保护区，周边社区拥有多元化的族裔背景，包括白人、西班牙裔、非裔、亚裔及其他族群。我希望通过这个项目，为不同背景的人们提供一个共同的空间，在自然中相聚，通过观察湿地生态和动物，建立人与自然、人与人之间的连接。
My project at Belle Isle Reservation, Massachusetts, aims to create a shared space where people of all backgrounds can reconnect with nature and observe diverse wildlife. The design features a bridge that not only serves as an observation platform but also interacts with the tides, submerging at high tide to create a dynamic and ever-changing landscape.
项目的核心是一座桥梁，它不仅提供了观察湿地生物的机会，还在潮汐变化中呈现不同的景观体验。桥在潮水上涨时部分被淹没，让人感受到自然的动态变迁，同时鼓励人们放慢脚步，沉浸于环境之中。通过这一设计，我希望创造一个促进人与自然和谐共生的场所，也为不同族裔的人们提供一个超越文化和语言障碍的共享空间，让大家在共同的自然体验中找到共鸣，增强社区凝聚力。
By immersing visitors in the natural rhythms of the environment, the project fosters a sense of harmony between people and nature. It provides a common ground where diverse communities can come together, experience the beauty of wildlife, and build connections through a shared appreciation of the natural world.

Cemeteries Matter
该项目的灵感来自佐治亚州萨凡纳市 Bonaventure 公墓丰富的文化遗产，将历史保护与生态修复融为一体。Bonaventure 以其宁静的美丽和历史意义而闻名，是探索生命、死亡和自然之间关系的理想场所。该设计旨在恢复受传统埋葬习俗影响的土地，创造一个既尊重过去又尊重环境的空间。通过结合生态修复方法，该项目设想了一个符合可持续做法的未来公墓，同时保留了其文化价值。
This project takes inspiration from Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia, blending historical preservation with ecological restoration. The design focuses on restoring land impacted by traditional burial practices, creating a space that respects the past while embracing sustainable, future-oriented practices.
设计的一个关键方面是使用放置在水下结构的可生物降解骨灰盒，让遗体自然分解，同时为当地物种提供栖息地。这种创新方法完善了生命周期，支持生物多样性并改善了墓地的环境健康。通过将生态管理与文化延续相结合，该项目将墓地重新想象为一个和谐的空间，游客可以在这里反思生命、自然和历史的相互联系。
The concept includes using biodegradable urns in underwater structures, allowing natural decomposition while supporting local wildlife. This innovative approach connects life and nature, fostering biodiversity and offering a reflective space that honors both history and the environment.
