Appreciation towards Walker Workshop for providing the following description:

Walker Workshop设计的橡树之宅位于美国加州贝弗利山庄一片3.5英亩的林地中，坐拥峡谷美景，并保存有一棵130岁树龄的大橡树。

The Oak Pass main house sits on the top of a 3.5 acre ridge site with panoramic canyon views.  There are over 130 protected Oak trees on the property.

房屋设计充分结合地形，享受场地得天独厚的景观。房屋本身并不追求成为场地焦点。

The house was sited to take advantage of the views without the house becoming a central visual focus.

客厅，厨房，餐厅，车库位于地面层，此外的卧室，健身房等等功能掩埋在山体中，屋顶种上绿色植物。

The massing was reduced by utilizing an “upside down” program with the public spaces located above the bedrooms, which are buried into the hill and protected beneath a vegetated roof.

卧室层通过开窗与设置内庭院保证采光与通风。

A lower level courtyard allows light and air to flow to the buried hallway of the bedroom level.

75英尺长的大泳池位于边缘，紧靠绝美橡树。

A seventy five foot long lap pool with infinity edges on three of four sides, bisects the house and slips beneath one of the largest oaks on the property.

房屋主体结构为混凝土。地面公共层采用石材地板，卧室层采用核桃木地板。

The house is primarily constructed of structural concrete allowing for long, column free spans.  The floors on the bedroom level are walnut.  The floors on the upper level are limestone.
