MAD Achitects reveals two chair prototypes with Sawaya&Moroni

在刚刚开幕的米兰设计周，MAD马岩松发布了与SAWAYA & MORONI合作的最新限量版椅子“流”及“廓”的原型。

On the opening of Milan Design Week 2022, Ma Yansong, the principal partner of MAD Architects, has revealed two prototypes – Dynamik Chair, and Thread Chair- with SAWAYA MORONI with the special theme “back to the future”.

“流”
Dynamik Chair

既是椅子，也是雕塑。座椅的外观形态及颜色看似冷酷，但一气呵成的线条赋予作品流动的能量感。代表能量的速度和力量在这里反而被柔化，设计透露出超越线性时空的未来感魅力。扶手、靠背、座椅高度之间的相互关系经过了多重推敲，并最终实现一体成型。

A sculpture to sit on. A frozen form of space in continuous movement. A chair with a poetic focus on motion and fluidity. It is like an object, leaving a trace of its acceleration and strength. Aerodynamic, sleek and charismatic. The hollow metal supporting legs place the sculpture in a state of equilibrium with strength. The armrests create a leaning-forward posture with speed through simple curvatures. The chair incorporates movement, energy and spatial changes into its form.

“廓” 
Thread Chair

材料妙成艺术。 “廓”由简单的铝杆叠合而成，通过结构与材料展现其有机的形态与美感。看似不经意的弯折与独特的曲线赋予了座椅自然的形态，让作品看上去像是一张柔和而精致的网。纤细的线条、有机的造型和错综复杂的视觉效果，让座椅呈现出宛如被微风吹拂着的动态感。金属材料由此变成了一件艺术品。

Created by simply binding the aluminum rod, the Thread chair calls out the organic form and aesthetic value from its structure and material. The inadvertent bends in lines and unique curves give the overall form a natural shape, like a gentle and delicate web. Slim, organic and intricate. The whole chair poses a dynamic posture, as if it is blown by a breeze. It is an experiment that turns the metal material itself into an artistic expression.

2022年米兰设计周期间（6月7日 – 12日），这两件作品正在SAWAYA & MORONI展厅展出。这是MAD与SAWAYA MORONI继“蘑菇椅(mogu chair)”、“骨椅(gu chair)”之后的第三次合作，此次合作基于特别主题“重返未来”。此前，“骨椅(gu chair)”（首展于2018年米兰设计周）已被法国蓬皮杜艺术中心永久收藏。

The new works are exhibited at SAWAYA & MORONI showroom in Milan from June 7th to 12th during Milan Design Week 2022. It is MAD’s third year participating at the prominent design festival. MAD’s previous design Gu Chair is part of the permanent collection of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
