在魁北克大雪纷飞的冬季，雪花堆积形成了如台地般的雪堤，而Atelier Pierre Thibault所设计的Le Banc de neige – “雪椅”在炎炎的夏日重塑了这一奇妙的景象。这个包括了开放平台与延绵座椅的临时装置改变了使用者和与公共空间的关系，带来了更多可能性。泛着雪白光芒的装置环绕着Bordeaux广场上的树丛与街灯，赋予了这些平凡事物不一样的气质。

For a summer, « Le Banc de neige » recreates the magical moment of the great snowfalls that form snowbanks during our Quebec winters. At the same time a platform and a public bench, the ephemeral installation modifies the relation of the user to the public space allowing a multitude of appropriations. « Le Banc de neige » envelops the trunks of the tree and the street lamps of the Place of Bordeaux with a luminous white, magnifying these elements of the everyday.

平台顺着游戏场地划出一道圆弧，创造出可以静坐旁观的阶梯看台。 如等高线般的平台将平坦的大空间拆分为高低错落数个小空间。沿着圣保罗大街来往的路人可以在这片如山峦般起伏的城市空间处稍作停留，享受夏日的阳光与阴凉。而勇敢者则可以一路向上攀登，直到繁茂的绿意将自己淹没，将城市的喧嚣隔离在外。

It wraps the playground to create a platform for the spectators. The installation is broken down into a series of topographical contours specific to the architectural representations which generate multiple bases. Passers-by can settle in and take a well-deserved break by contemplating the urban landscape of St-Paul Street. The most courageous can climb the snowbank to hide in the dense foliage of trees, away from passers-by.

这个艺术装置作为2016年魁北克城市街头艺术活动”不平凡的街道（Les Passages Insolites）”的一部分，被安置在了城市的中心地带。它不仅是城市街头的艺术作品，也成为了人人皆可使用的公共服务设施。涂上了白色油漆的胶合板经过了弯曲，塑造出蜿蜒伸展的有机形态。虽然只在街头停留了一个夏天，“雪椅”仍为魁北克街头带来了别样的精彩。

The project was built for a Quebec City street art event called “Les Passages Insolites”. It was one of the artistic installation in the heart of the city. More than just an art installation, it was conceived to be a public infrastructure that everyone can use. Le Banc de neige is made from white painted plywood curved to obtain the organic shape of the installation. It was built for the summer of 2016 only.
