该设计诞生于我们与客户的谈话，他们表示：“如果我们居住在丰富的环境中，它能够跟随时间变化，那么场地就活化了。”因此，在我们设计的房子中，混凝土基础从地面升起，划分了空间，同时又用作家具，塑造出可以逗留的空间。

The beginning of the design was born in a conversation with the client. ” Living in a diverse that responds to time so that the entire site can be used up.” We designed a house where the concrete foundation can divide the space by standing up on the site as furniture to trigger a place to stay.

我们反复研究了基础布局，发现既有基础可以作为扩建或改造的起始点，而不仅仅是用来支撑木结构的。这一混凝土布局是根据“烹饪、阅读、空间转换通道”等功能确定的，基础间的墙壁和屋顶则塑造了房屋的每个空间。在设计中，我们认为那些隐约相连的房间会随着日积月累的变化而改变功能，同时我们也意识到室内外空间需要被同等对待。最终，我们希望使用者可以与我们的计划背道而驰，以一种出人意料的方式使用房屋。

We repeated the study of the layout of the foundation, considering that it could be expanded or remodeled by using the existing foundation as a trigger, not only for supporting the timber structure as a foundation. The layout of those concrete object was dedicated depend on the way of using such as “cooking, reading, passing through for switching the scene, etc…” Each spaces are formed by providing roofs and walls between foundation. It is assumed that the rooms that are vaguely connected will change their function due to daily changes and changes over the years. We were also conscious of taking the indoor and outdoor spaces equally. We hope someone would use the space with unexpected way which is against what we originally planned.

Understanding the strength and differences between concrete and timber material such as length of the time scale or, texture and touches. Concrete structure might keep standing there for hundred years, timber structure part could be extended or demolished in couple of years. Concrete part could be even used as the foundation for new house, or playground or stage for performances even in the future.

By establishing a long-term planning system at the foundation, we were able to create a place to live. Through this house, we were able to ponder how architecture adapts and changes due to changes in the environment and life.
