疫情对全球各地居民的工作和生活都产生了很大影响。今年，由于多地疫情严重，中国的许多城市和地区进行了不同程度的封控，公共场所关闭，相当一部分城市居民改为居家办公，几乎足不出户。随着疫情缓解，各地逐渐解封，人们也慢慢走出家门，重新开始了公共的生活。在夏意渐浓的日子里，谷德团队来到有着“北京塞纳河”之称的亮马河畔，随机采访了几位在河畔公共空间中活动的游客，了解他们对公共空间的理解和喜好，以及在不同人眼中，疫情对人与公共空间的关系带来了哪些影响。

十位受访者中，有一位退休阿姨，两名中学生，其他人都是年轻的在职人员。在他们的理解里，公共空间除了是开放给所有人的空间，还应该有着自由、包容等特征，让人们能够聚集在一起，同时带有一定的文化属性。公园、商场、展览馆是他们最喜欢去的一些公共场所，也有人喜欢去图书馆学习或者去夜市撸串。在受访者们看来，人需要公共空间，尤其在经历过封控后，人们更需要在宽敞的环境中得到一些喘息的机会；相应的，公共空间也会反过来影响使用者的行为举止，让他们试着去和身边的人交流，相互帮助。谈到疫情带来的影响，有人觉得会更加珍惜在公共空间中的时间；有人坦言会对公共空间感到害怕，需要一些时间调整状态；许多商家则展开了新一轮头脑风暴，探索新的线下创业模式。根据受访者的描述，理想的公共空间首先应该是开放、卫生和安全的，人们既可以在其中聚集交流，也可以独自享受，不被打扰。此外，好的公共空间还应该体现地方特色，并且能够鼓励使用者发挥主观能动性，共同塑造更好的生活环境。

The pandemic has affected people’s life significantly over the world. This year, as many districts in China were facing severe covid-19 breakout,  different levels of quarantines were carried out in different cities. Public places were closed and a large number of citizens had to work from home without going out. As the epidemic eased, places gradually reopened and people started to leave their homes to restart their public life. On a summer day, gooood team came to the Liangma River, known as “The Seine of Beijing”, and randomly interviewed several visitors in the riverside public space to learn about their understanding and preference of public space, and how the epidemic has affected the relationship between people and public space in the eyes of different people.

Among the ten interviewees, one was retired, two were middle school students, and the rest were young people with different occupations. In their views, except for opening to everyone, public space should also be free and inclusive. It can bring people together and should have some cultural identities at the same time. Parks, shopping malls and exhibition facilities were the favorite public places while other people preferred to studying in the library or eating in a night market. They thought that public space was necessary to human beings. Especially after the quarantine, people had a greater need to refresh in a broader environment. Public space would influence people’s behavior in turn, making them to communicate and help each other. Talking about the affect of the epidemic, some people felt that they cherished the time in public space more than before. Others frankly expressed their fear to public space. They would need some time to adapt themselves to public life. Business people started to brainstorm, exploring new ways of offline start-up. according to the interviewees, ideal public space should be open, healthy and safe in the first place. People could gather and interact as well as staying alone without being disturbed. What’s more, good public space should embody local characteristics and encourage the users to shape a better living environment using their own hands.

问卷调查

现场采访之外，谷德还在网上发布了关于公共空间的调查问卷，就“喜欢去哪些公共空间”“公共空间的好处”“疫情前后对公共空间的态度变化”等问题向读者征询答案。调查期间，共收到近百份有效问卷。答题者超过90%为15~35岁的学生和年轻工作者，其中学生全部在设计相关专业学习，工作者中超过90%为设计师。他们对于公共空间相关问题的回答结果如下图所示：

问卷最后，大家对于理想的城市公共空间做出了各种各样的想象。以下是部分答题者对于心中理想的城市公共空间的描述：

“日常——对于任何人、物都是开放包容的，使用场景可变多元化，24小时活力；公共突发事件下——有应急应对能力，特别是开敞空间，能够起到疏散、组织应对、辅助重建相关的作用。”

“密度适中，不过分吸引人流，作为自然环境的一部分，不需要人类过多的维护便可正向的存在下去，存在相对隐蔽的空间，给予不同人体验公共空间的机会。”

“合理规划垃圾、卫生、跌落等危险预防、处理问题细节，其他顺其自然，公共空间应该是多样化，有着不同体验，不同形式的。”

“友好。儿童友好，老年人友好，残疾人友好。对弱势群体或少数群体友好的公共空间，一定对普通民众也是友好的。”

“人们在城市里找不到的净土或是体验不到的冒险。”
