香港湾仔星街小区是拥有独特生活品味的都市人聚集地，精致时尚同时亦一直关注小区，并积极推动可持续发展的生活方式。AaaM建筑设计工作室继去年为星街小区以可持续材料策划及设计出藤编圣诞装置，今年再度与太古地产合作，以可再生物料为题，创作出圣诞装置，希望继续宣扬可持续发展生活理念。

Starstreet Precinct is a vibrant destination for urbanites with unique lifestyle. With a focus on community and a passion to foster a sustainable lifestyle for all, Starstreet Precinct and its tenants are collectively working to build a better future together with neighborhood and public. AaaM Architects had curated and designed Christmas installation for Starstreet Precinct last year with sustainable materials, rattan. This year, we challenge to use renewable material as our main concept to promote sustainable lifestyle with technological input.

<星幻．雪花>营造节日气氛，为环保生活带来新盼望
Upcycled “Enchanting Snowflakes” brings new perspective to sustainable lifestyle

装置中闪烁透亮的白色圣诞装饰，其实都是塑胶材料，它们都是来自星街小区收集PET胶樽，经3D打印技术转化冬雪仙境中的元素。星街小区早于今年6月推出「Recycle Your Bottles」回收活动，在金钟及湾仔一带设置 16 个收集点，与塑料回收设施塑新生有限公司合作，将活动所收集得PET塑料瓶分拣清洗，并切细成塑胶粒原料。我们再伙拍3D打印公司 Dreamcubics 将塑胶粒制成环保原材料 rPET线材。

The main material of this year’s Christmas installation is plastic from PET plastic bottles collected from the community, and transformed into the elements of the mini winter wonderland through 3D printing technology. Starstreet Precinct set up its “Recycle Your Bottles” initiative with 16 limited-time PET plastic bottle recycling points within the Admiralty and Wan Chai neighbourhood in June, and partnered with Hong Kong-based New Life Plastics, a Joint Venture between Baguio, ALBA and Swire Coca-Cola, to process the collected post-consumer PET bottles. Collected PET bottles were shredded and transferred to local 3D printing Dreamcubics to make PET plastic flakes into ecofriendly raw materials – rPET printing filament.

经过多番设计造型调整、反复测试打印，历时半年，将2200多个PET塑料瓶升级再造成长度达11公里长 rPET线材，打印超过350件的立体组件，完美建构醉人冰雪地景。

After rounds of trial and error, we had remade 2210 PET plastic bottles up to 11 kilometers long rPET printing filament finally. Over 350-piece of 3D print ornaments were printed for the whole installation. At the end of the display period, all 3D print ornaments will be recycled again and remade into rPET filaments to extend the life of the material.

3D打印冰钻照亮吊灯树形雕塑
Icicle Chandelier with 50 3D print lighting ornaments

皇后大道东与永丰街熙来攘往的入口广场，高达7米的雕塑如吊灯漂浮在街角。雕塑由菱形网格组成，结构层层往下扩散成优雅裙状造型。50个由回收塑料3D打印而成的冰钻散落在菱格之间，有如雪粒降落的意境，冰雪亮光吸引途人停驻，感受节日气氛，欣赏回收再造物料带来想象之外的美感。

At the busy entrance plaza intersect Queen’s Road East and Wing Fung Street, a 7-meter-high sculpture floats on the street corner like a chandelier. The sculpture is composed of diamond-shaped grids and spreads downward layer by layer. Over 50 pieces of 3D print snowy diamonds are scattered among the diagrid as if falling snow resting on tree. The glow of snowy diamonds attracts passers-by to linger and feel the festive atmosphere, and appreciate the beauty beyond imagination brought by recycled materials.

通透亮白雪花亭成为星街门户地标
Snowflake Pavilion lit up Star Street Entrance

利用圆形填充算法, 雪花亭设计由大小不一的圆框组合成球形空间, 每个圆框布满3D打印而成的通透白𠵍雪花，以雪亮白光点缀着太古广场三期在星街和永丰街的门户位置。参观者可走进高达3.5米的球体内部，沉浸在漫天雪花的背景中，在寒冷冬季感受浪漫暖意。

Through circle packing algorithm, a spherical space composed of circular frames of different sizes is covered with translucent white 3D printed snowflakes, embellishing the gateways of Three Pacific Place on Star Street and Wing Fung Street with glowing white light. Visitors can step inside the 3.5-meter-high spherical pavilion and immerse themselves in this sky of falling snowflakes.

走出雪花亭后会发现旁边悬浮的钻石形吊挂装饰，钻石框内的点点灯光套着有雪花图案的3D打印多边形灯罩，在充满白色圣诞气氛的环境之下，一路引人步向大堂入口。

After walking out of the Snowflake Pavilion, you will find that the diamond-shaped decoration suspended next to it leads people all the way to the entrance of the lobby.

展期结束后，3D打印组件会再一次被回收并再造成rPET线材，延续物料生命。
