Nynke Koster利用橡胶进行翻模制物已经多年了。如今她越发对历史和现实感兴趣，比如建筑室内风格化的装饰物就体现出所在时代的真实审美与特征。Nynke Koster将这些建筑饰物翻模，再打造成立体的凳子。最开始的时候，Nynke Koster创作出四款，后来逐步发展到20多款。这些作品能够清晰反映出建筑装饰风格的演化，从巴洛克到新古典主义，再到现代主义。这些凳子均在她的工作室制作，材料为橡胶，泡沫塑料，木头。

Nynke Koster working with rubbers and making molds for years now. Nynke Koster found out that she was more interested in the contra mold of an object then the replica of it. It tells this new story of the past. Nynke Koster fasci- nated by the existing world around us. Mainly through the history of places. Every place tells its own story. Her objects are a tribute to those places.

Nynke Koster give a new interpretation and let people look in a different way to these places.

After the success of my graduation collection Coexist, Nynke Koster searched the last months for interesting places to give her inspiration for new work. What buildings and their time frame most characterize are there ornaments. Ornaments are characterized in most cases by stylization, a repeating pat- tern and symmetry.
For example; they aim to bring the viewer an awareness. They generate thoughts or give a certain feeling. Nynke Koster realized that ornaments never get displayed together with there different styles. This as- pect inspired her and she translate this into new work.

The result is the collection of objects called ‘Elements of time’

A growing collection of different styles translated into 3D objects, stools. At DDW Nynke Koster showed the first 4 stools. With time passing the collection will grow with several architectural styles. In a few years there will be 20 or more stools. It represents the ornaments and their history from then until now. Gradually, we will see how modernism enters and changes the meaning of the ornament. So for the first time you can sit on a Baroque ceiling, a corner from the Art Nouveau building, Cassette from the Neoclassicism and so on!

The objects are produced in her studio. Materials are rubber, foam, wood.
