Appreciation towards Jingfeng Fang for providing the following description:
▼ ‘bug story’ secret box by jingfeng fang

‘Bug story’ is a set of five secret boxes. The work is an exploration based on the question’What makes something look and feel exclusive?’
Getting the inspiration from a piece of wood eaten by worms at naturhistoriska museet ingothenburg, I used hand drill to create a dynamic pattern imitating bug bites on the woodenboxes. These `traces` evoke our imagination of a past event. It is at once interesting andhumorous and at the same time it encourages the observer to reflection and acceptance. ‘Bug story’ combines craft and design with distinctive storytelling to make an object exclusive.’Bug story’ was presented on the 2011 stockholm furniture fair, as part of ‘the collector’- acollection of works by graduate students of the HDK school of design and crafts.
