梵天北京办公室位于燕莎50号院，园区环境幽静，紧邻日本大使馆和美国大使馆。业主是从事地产业的公司，此办公室为其在北京的临时总部。在这个项目中，让建筑内部接收到充足的阳光是建筑师思考设计的起点。

Brama Beijing office, located in No.50 Yansha besides Japan and U.S. Embassy, is surrounded by tranquil environment. The client runs business in real estate, and the building as temporary office. In the project, bringing sufficient light is the first consideration of the architect.

插入的光庭 Add-on Courtyards of Light

由于这栋房子前身是一家影视公司，留下了一些类似暗房的黑空间，对于新租户来说，是很难使用的。因此，首先需要将隔墙全部拆除，按照功能需求重新划分空间。随后，建筑师在这个长42米、宽18米的长方形单层建筑里插入了3个大小略有不同的光庭院。这3个兼具小型会议室功能的庭院分别位于对外接待、内部主要办公、内部管理等3个重点区域。使用者可以在建筑内部感受到一天中自然光线的变化，下雨或下雪的时候，体验会更为有趣。光庭作为装置一样的存在，是人与自然元素发生关系的场所，自然而然地也成为了各个区域的视觉中心。

The building was previously used by a film enterprise; therefore there are some darkrooms that are dead spaces for new tenant. Because of that, removing all partition walls and redesign space according to functions is necessary. Three different scale courtyards are inserted in the rectangle single story building (42X18 meters). These three new visual focal points, functioned as small conference rooms, are able to serve for reception, main working area and administration offices. The idea of architect is to provide opportunity for users to experience ever-changing daylight and weather. Therefore, three installations became the place where people can make a connection with natural elements.

除了光庭，建筑师还在交通过道上方设计了一列圆形天窗，两者皆与灯具结合。这样，不论天气状况如何，光庭和天窗都可以在自然照明和人工照明之间自由转换，为使用者提供了丰富且可靠的光与空间的体验。

Except for courtyards, the architect also created a great spatial experience with adequate light by opening several circular roof windows beyond corridor. All natural lighting cooperates with artificial illumination in both courtyards and corridor which is convenient for users to switch between the two.

半透明的墙体 Translucent Wall

另外，该建筑并不是业主长久的办公地点，所以建筑师希望通过更为简单有效的办法来解决问题。考虑到要在有限的建筑面积里承载尽可能多的员工，扩大建筑的空间感成为了另一个设计重点。除了插入光庭，建筑师利用聚碳酸酯版搭建了隔墙。由聚碳酸酯版构成的墙体既可以围合空间，又有一定的反射周围场景的作用，同时还可以透射部分光线，在墙体两侧制造了一个暧昧的关系。相对于一般的墙体，它可以减少空间的压迫感并在一定程度上保证独立办公室的隐私。

Because this is a temporary office of the client, the economic design is the preferable solution. To maximize capacity of working space and expand spatial volume are another design consideration. For example, partition walls made of polycarbonate sheets not only enclose space but also reflect surroundings. These light penetrating walls can reduce the pressure in the space while ensuring the privacy of independent offices.
