原创设计品牌AnnoMundi名称来源于“创世纪元”，意为打开幻想开拓自我。

The name of the original design brand AnnoMundi comes from “Genesis Yuan”, which means to open up fantasy and explore oneself.

创世纪元位于上海市徐汇区陕西南路与复兴中路交界口，原址是一家书店，整体结构是砖混结构。因房屋旧址在上海法租界，得到了很好的修复保护。所以业主与设计师有幸得到了一百年前的结构原样。

Located at the junction of South Shaanxi Road and Fuxing Middle Road in Xuhui District, Shanghai, the original location of Anno Mundi was a bookstore with a brick and mortar structure. As the former site of the house was in the French Concession in Shanghai, it has been well restored and protected. So the owner and the designer were fortunate to have the original structure from 100 years ago.

经和业主共同讨论后，空间整体分为上下两层，一层为活动展厅，沿黑色楼梯上楼，二层整体为零售空间。

After discussions with the owner, the space was divided into two levels, with the first level being the event showroom, up a black staircase, and the second level being the overall retail space.

店铺中厅浇筑出了一个水泥破旧的坑洞，配以黑白麻绳编织的艺术装置，作为视觉亮点陈列在空间当中。整体空间以黑白色作为主基调，配以艺术造型强烈的软装及灯具，旨在传达品牌的设计理念。

A concrete pit has been poured in the middle hall of the shop, with a black and white twine woven art installation as the visual highlight of the space. The overall space is dominated by black and white, with strong artistic soft furnishings and lighting, aiming to convey the brand’s design philosophy.

设计材料起初是希望整体用水泥漆滚涂墙面作为主基调，但在拆旧过程中发觉了百年建筑结构的历史梁柱结构，其肌理独特，不可用现代工艺所替代，所以当下业主与设计师决定将房屋内部结构全部做表面材料清除，露出原本结构纹理，修旧如旧，还原百年前上海建筑结构风貌。再配以黑色木地板、偏现代的拉丝不锈钢、镜面及玻璃，形成材料的冲突与对比，构成相对协调的视觉效果。

The design material was initially intended to be a cement-painted wall, but during the demolition process, it was discovered that the historical beam and column structure of the 100 year old building structure was unique and could not be replaced by modern techniques, so the owner and designer decided to remove all the surface materials from the interior of the house, revealing the original structure texture, repairing the old as the old, and restoring the structural appearance of the 100 year old Shanghai building. This is complemented by black wooden floors, modern brushed stainless steel, mirrors and glass, creating a clash of materials and contrasts to create a relatively harmonious visual effect.
