The generosity of the philanthropic gift and the decision to display twentieth-century painting provide the catalyst for the next chapter in the evolution of the National Gallery, opening new pathways for creativity and exchange. As one of the world’s preeminent pinacotec a of Western art, the Gallery is both window and mirror, enabling visitors toa connect across time and space in a continual process of renewal that fosters understanding and tolerance.

For us, the poetry of Project Domani lies in creating new bridges—both metaphorical and physical—between collections, architecture and place. We seek to weave new layers of meaning into the visitor experience, crafting moments of encounter with the modern collection within architecture conceived as a respectful, luminous container.

By threading into the network of parks and honouring John Nash’s urban vision, we amplify landscape amenity within one of the world’s greenest capital cities.
