在世界摩天大楼狂潮之中，37岁的俄罗斯商人Vasily Klyukin（宇宙旅行爱好者，购买了维珍集团太空旅行的票，将和演员 Leonardo DiCaprio一同旅行）在过去一年里设想了很多“传奇”的建筑地标。项目始于他在摩洛哥买了一栋楼然后想把这栋楼推翻建成一个全新的城市标志物，他为了说服摩洛哥的阿尔贝二世亲王，开始把自己摩天大楼设想与世界上其它城市景色结合，做成一个系列。其中一些造型相当大胆，让人印象十分深刻。gooood的编辑在其中看到不少中国大城市作为背景图，为此我们问了Vasily Klyukin两个小问题：1 如果你的这些疯狂作品在中国疯狂的建筑市场上得到大规模实现，你真心会觉得疯狂吗？2 你心中的理想城市?

Vasily Klyukin说他并不认为他的想法疯狂，虽然这些建筑雄心勃勃，但是他们都是以标志建筑为背景设计的。世界上很多国家都对他构想的这系列建筑有需求意向，目前，还没有来自中国的的市场请求，不过也许在gooood发布这篇文章后，他会在中国变得受欢迎。中国有许多不错的建筑，比如他的最爱之一CCTV大楼。他同时也希望为中国做一些事情。他的作品Gladiolus Tower，就是试图保留中国宝塔风格的作品。而他理想中的城市应该是美丽的塔楼结合低交通流量。交通要道在地下，塔楼与塔楼之间是大公园。

因此，我们能看到维纳斯一样的大楼重新定义了城市天际线，看到古代的宝塔屹立在现代的都市中，看到火炬一样的楼还有航天飞机一样的楼出现在城市中。

这系列的项目让Vasily Klyukin付出了大量的时间，持续很长一段时间里，他每天只睡4-5小时，但是他认为这一切都是值得的。他认为一座建筑可以改变一座城市，让城市独一无二，并作为永恒的经典一直存在下去。就像高迪的建筑给巴塞罗那带来了更多的魅力，弗兰克盖里设计的毕尔巴鄂博物馆改变了毕尔巴鄂的命运。积极的象征性建筑项目将有利于城市经济发展，吸引投资和增加游客。他希望全世界都能谈论他的项目。同时他坚信每一个严肃的建筑除了概念都应该有自己的故事或传说。这个具有想象力的系列项目已经由意大利的出版商Skira出版为豪华版本装潢图书《Designing Legends 设计传奇》，书中包含50个建筑共300张极具冲击力的插图。2013年9月在意大利出版，2014年6月将在美国等地上市。

Do you think it’s a crazy thing that your works may be popular and widely applied  in Chinese crazy construction market someday?  What’s your ideal future city ?

Vasily Klyukin:

I don’t think my ideas are crazy. Some of them complicated to do, but all of them iconic.

I have big demand now from different countries, not from your country yet. May be after your article I will become more popular in China. You have a lot of nice buildings. Rem Koolhaas building is one of my favorites in the world.

I hope also I can do something for China. For example “Gladiolus Tower” I did especially for China, trying to stay in pagoda style.

My ideal City – it’s modern city with with beautiful towers and low traffic:) With only underground roads and big parks and big walking areas between towers.

How did you start designing skyscrapers, and why?

“Designing Legends”
The story of this album is very unusual. At least a year ago, there were no drawings (patterns) at all.I was living in the first residential skyscraper in Moscow-City for 3 years. I observed the construction of tens of other towers and was thinking about which tower could I build, if I had an opportunity. The tower would live through not only me, but also my children and even grandchildren.

Which tower I need to build so my descendants could be proud of me and the city could get the architectural monument?

One year ago I bought small building in Monaco, on its place the small tower can be built. I understood that I needed to build something unbelievably wonderful and ideally suited for the city, in order to get it approved. I want people to say “Wow, it’s so beautiful, it will perfectly fit into the Principate”. I want the whole world to talk about it. Initially, I’m not an architect, but I encountered with the construction of skyscrapers not once. I really wanted to impress Prince Albert II, but I understood that one tower is not enough for it. I decided to create the album of projects. I was drawing days and nights for the several months. My friends helped me a lot, too. Everybody was full of this ambitious idea – to show the brand new architecture to the world. I knew I would meet Prince at the charitable ball in 3.5 months, so I set a goal to present him with the first copy. Though I was sleeping in average for 4-5 hours a day and still feel the tiredness, I made it happen.

And it was worth it!

Usually the towers compete in height, I wanted to compete in beauty, playing with the acts and forms. I just couldn’t bypass the Goddess of Beauty and the Goddess of Victory
with my attention.And for Monaco I created the project the “Monaco Comet”, as a symbol that this place is lighted up by luck.

Finally I can add that I created this Album for Prince Albert .

What inspires your designs, and how did you create them?
After I have idea I can imagine building very clear the only problem is how to explain it to modeling company?I do a lot of sketches trying to do the best one, perfect lines to select color I can list thousands of pages in Google. looking for right blue or green.

Which are your favorite designs?
Doing design I put heart and my soul in this project. Difficult to select. They are my piece of soul. Monaco Comet, Venus, Nika, In love towers, Roses…I am ready to buy apartment and live in any of them. I want to drink coffee in “Marilyn Café”. I have written a small legends for each of them, some times its a poetry, sometimes real facts and 3 cocktails recipes I did also. very nice cocktails  I can tell you

Are there any chance your skyscraper designs will ever become real?
Yes! I have several requests already.
Last week I signed “Memorandum Of Understanding” with Tunisia Economic City
To build these towers is very profitable
You can spend more money doing complicated building, iconic building
But it will bring you iconic profit!
world-wide well-known building make you famous, fashion. Everybody wants to be unique!
Iconic buildings are forever iconic. But recognizable iconic.
It will brings a lot of tourists to the city. How many tourists bring Gaudi to Barcelona?

Its landmark. It’s iconic. It’s profitable to do

Have you ever thought about how the cities of the world and their architecture will look like in the near future? An architect and a businessman Vasily Klyukin – the author of the book called «Designing Legends » published by a famous printing house Skira – offers his original vision. He created 50 building concepts (towers, office centers, museums and a theater) with unique architecture, with each possibly becoming the pride and symbol of the city or even the country in the future. Vasily Klyukin is inspired by Greek mythology: towers Nika and Venus; by natural shapes: towers Jaguar, Tulip Palace, Roses, etc. He always correlates building’s construction and design with geographical and climatic conditions, architectural surroundings and cultural traditions of a specific region. The book begins with the Comet Fortuna project. Vasily Klyukin wants to erect its elaborated variant – Monaco Comet tower – in Monte Carlo, the city where he lives. « On the one hand, I tried to make the building look modern and, on the other hand, to insert it harmoniously into today’s architectural space of Monaco. »

As a person talented in art and at the same time successful in business Vasily Klyukin believes that a bright architectural symbolic project contributes to development of economy, attraction of investments and increase of tourists flow. The book « Designing Legends » is the way to share the author’s ideas with architects and developers of the world. Original concepts of the towers can be implemented into projects and become the sources of inspiration absolutely free. Released in autumn 2013 « Designing Legends » has already gained interest and wide recognition, while Vasily Klyukin has been invited to hold autograph sessions all over the world. About Vasily Klyukin
Architect, businessman, fearless traveler planning a space flight. He was born in Moscow, his father was a writer and historian, his mother was an editor and teacher. Having graduated from the prestigious Financial Academy in Moscow he made professional career in bank sector, then successfully boosted his own business in developer projects, where he gained experience in building and architecture. «In order to make money when you don’t have rich inheritance, access to natural resources or power you have to think creatively. I have always had this quality, » says Vasily Klyukin. In 2010 he got engaged in architecture and design, simultaneously being a collector and a patron.
